Maybe. The new game looks solid. Perhaps they learned from mistakes made here

I would disagree with that notion but I suppose it doesn’t really matter now.

Even @ElderPreddy stopped posting about religion. He saw this new game and was like ‘there is no god’

Arcadegeddon honestly looks like it’s copying Fortnite at least in style. Gameplay I wouldn’t know for sure but it looks pretty close. I don’t think that’s an accident. Given that Illfonic hasn’t really had any major success in the videogame market my cynical guess is that this is very much engineered to appeal to people who’re into Fortnite. So you get the dumb kid who sees something that looks pretty close to that game he or she plays or looks like the game their friends or favorite youtubers play and suddenly they’re sinking 60 bucks on it.

Kind of like those animated movies you’d find at a dollar store. You know the ones where they look enough like Finding Nemo that your grandmother buys it for you and suddenly you’ve got a copy of Finding Jesus. Which means that this isn’t being engineered as a success, it’s being made to throw out some quick cash to get more money out of Sony and ultimately kids.

But what is Fun co.?

If this is a success HG is fucked. However I don’t think this was even meant to be. More it’s a cynical cash grab so people with a PS5 have something to buy given the popularity Fortnite.

We could potentially receive support through this. Essentially being whatever money Sony has and will give them for developing this as well as sales figures continuing development. But at the cost of kids who don’t know better than to not grab the “New Coke”. I’m not sure how I feel about this. It’s like the lawsuit all over again except we have no good answer here. That was just seeing if Illfonic would negotiate a new license whereas here if we live it’s because people bought shovelware.

I think it’s a company from their new game, Arcadegedon. The live stream i watched skipped over the ‘story’, but the game looks nice, polished, wacky but I’m a good way. It’s challenging too. I think they really got it right this time.

If i had to make a managerial decision, it would be 80% resources diverted to new gsme, 20% to phg. Thought times for us. I think the new game will be really good

God forbid that effort does does into the game that matters

Im overreacting, but i think keeds will really be into this game. It’s PvE, PvP, mini games. It is arcady and you can sink hours into it

Aw man dose this mean PHG is dead 😰

We don’t know yet. Roadmap is until October. At least two more DLCs. A lot will be dictated by how well Arcadegedon does. It’s early access for another year, but the game looks great.

After two weeks, i think we’ll have some stats on Arcadegedon

If its the next fortnight, then expect Illfonic to double in size if not triple. That will mean that a sequel is inevitable . But you never know. because PHG might have been expected only to be a one and done game with expansions or DLCs. If its expected for it to be a AAA title with a story campaign…expect only a Terminator: Resistance budget as it would be their first AAA title.–that is unless they buy an engine thats being used for the Robocop game. Then at least there is a legacy of features. Buts only if they buy in order to produce.
