Game crashes along freezing entire Pc

ok… i had a laptop 2 years ago with a a 2070 and it played dark souls just fine… only with the power plugged in… if you want to play without the battery pack forget it… which inmo makes gaming laptops worthless

See? With an Omen with an 2060 you can play games that require much more than Dark Souls. I have an Omen with GTX2060 and i can run GTA 5, Watch Dogs 2, R6 Siege full graphics and full fps.
As for the batteries, you re right bdut that’s a problem of all laptops…

cost per perfromance ratio laptops are for people that have jobs that require a lot of moving

Well, problem is now that I got this one new last year and I can’t just go an buy a new one again right of the top.
I also switched from full screen mode to windowed full screen. Maybe my notebook can’t handle the full screen and I remember when the game crashed mid-Match when in windowed full screen I was still able to access the taskmanager and everything.
If I would get another notebook or desktop pc in general I will look much more what I need.

And it’s actually a HP Pavilion Gaming.
HP has two models for gaming OMEN and Pavilion.

Yes, i know. They call it “gaming” because it has slightly better graphic cards then the regular ones. It’s a marketing strategy. The true HP gaming laptop’s/desktop’s are OMEN because they have alliminium structure, better cooling system, monitors with high refresh rate, etc. I’m not saying Pavillion isn’t good enough for gaming or anything, i’m just saying that HP has a sub-brand specifically built for gaming.

I looked it up and both models are good Gaming-Notebooks.
And like it said maybe the full screen mode was mainly the cause for the freeze up. Because I was playing for a long while in windowed full screen and always was able to access Taskmanager there. I set it back to windowed full screen and will see when the next crash happens how it looks like.
Though my notebook is also getting a bit heated between 70° to occasionally 90° top, which a cooler will help prevent more.
