Ah I see what you did there, I’ve yet to master Huntress but Trapper & Wraith are my fav at the moment. Also Huntress looks almost close to Amazon.

COD MW II is 50% camping, 25% aim assist, 20% hacking and 5% skill.
“Competitive FPS” my ass. Even phg takes more skill.
COD hasn’t been good since World at War. WW2 was decent I guess but nothing special, at least it returned to having Health Bars in the campaign, but the multiplayer was still a fucking mess & like I give a shit about Zombies.
COD4 fucked the franchise & it & Half Life 2 ruined a whole generation of FPS until DooM 2016 came out.
A. Try idk, smoke grenades, flashbangs, frags, all of the tons of options to counter this?
B. Try domination, an actual mode beside tdm

On another note, Deep Rock Galactic (A.K.A. Space Dwarves) has just gotten a new season released, and I would reccommend supporting those guys. Ghost Ship is basically the polar opposite of illfonic lol
Other games I would reccommend:
- Mortal Shell (souls-like with a cool gimmick)
- [Prototype] 1 & 2 (Basically play as the god of resident evil)
- Resident Evil
- And finally, Middle-Earth: Shadow of War. Completely fucks the storyline of the original books (and the movie for that matter), but the gameplay is well worth it in my opinion. Feel free to disagree tho lmao

A focus on overly long cutscenes. Walking & talking. Heavily scripted set pieces. Two weapon limits. Regenerating health instead of health bars with medkits. Slow movement with a stamina bar that lasts like 3 seconds for sprinting where you can’t fire your guns. ADS & most guns shifting from projectile based to hitscan with incredibly fast TTK. Dull color palates & a focus on gritty modern military realism, abandoning more varied settings & aesthetics. Lack of enemy variety & incredibly linear levels. Weapon loadouts in multiplayer instead of having you acquire weapons from around the map. And worst of all, a shift to heavily regulated & stale E-Sports in the online scene.
These are all the flaws & failings that have & in same cases continue to plague the FPS genre. DooM managed to bring us back to the good old days & ushered in a wave of Boomer Shooters.

Really, is there any shooter outside of this category that can be called a game?
I mean COD was good back in the early days. Halo was good before 343 took over, hell Halo is the ONLY FPS that got weapon limits & regenerating health done right. Everything else was so stale & boring. Halo was still the golden standard of FPS in the 2000s and no series ever managed to match its pure excellency.
FPS just went to shit around 2008 due to the industry at large shifting more towards games such as CSGO, COD4 & Half Life 2.
My mains are pyramidhead and demogorgon. They have a good range of options when it comes to builds, ranging from “yeah, that’s fair game” to “this shit is phucken broken lmao” to “literal memes”.

Yeah Halo was good, never touched CoD. Just found it a bit cliche.
Before the shift to modern settings, the WW2 era CODs were really good. Finest Hour for example is still one of the best FPS of the PS2 generation. Sadly, the series just went to utter shit after 4.
