Gamplay vs Fictional expectation

This game is start to suffer unbalance due the expectation of fiction. In general Predator mains mostly Casual to below average and those Youtube flowchat players. Whom are expecting this game to be like shooting fish in a barrel, well you got it with in spades with patch 1.06.

Sloppy play wins over skillful play the overwhelming amount of the time in this game, especially now.

In basic terms its start to show the “RYU fireball theory problem reaction solution” A all around average character which was used by the majority of players and therefore thought to be over powered.

The same has been thrust upon the fire team and however XY and Z are too overpowered. etc etc…
The predator is grossly overpowered from a game play feature and closer inline with the fictional representation.

The fire team feels like a bunch of Air Soft or Paint ballers put in a real life live ammo situation and told good luck. te he he. At not point do you feel like a Bad MOFO who can speed reload your fire arm un stress in a real life or death situation. regardless of class you are squishy, your guns are literally pea shooters unless you combine fire.

If the predator expectation of fiction is to be expected in game-play, so should a Elite current or ex special forces, I.e Green beret, ranger, Delta force and or Navy seal starring Charlie sheen.

In short it has to be competitive for all or broken for all.

And dont get me started on actual lack of reward system

This games success is dependant on the fireteam being an extremely rewarding expirience…since 80% of players per match are forced to play as them.
Hard to accomplish when game was marketed as predator game.
What do you suggest?

I dont have a answer either way. But patching damage out put and resistance inside of a week when nobody really knows the whole picture is just a knee jerk reaction to unsubstantiated claims. This game launched in a a bad place due to the stay at home order.
Aside from quality of life fixes, interface and collision issues. Buff and nerf can really break a low budget game. World of Warcraft, CoD and street fighter do not really have to worry as much due to the resilient player base. I would really like to see this game last 3-5 years. Good players should be rewarded and sloppy players should be punished in game of course. This goes for Fireteam and predator alike. I know this seems kinda non specific but i have literally being playing competitive games since 1992 as a side hustle until mid 2000’s. I can safely say tread carefully when nerfing or buffing damage/ speed interaction i.e. melee speed, reload guns.

I agree, it was a bit to soon to jump on such a slew of changes inside a week of launch. I think even if they just nerfed the parry knife a bit more and changed nothing else it would of accomplished a lot aside from general and graphic fix like the bullets hitting tree leaves.

I thought Pred health was fine before the patch. I just played carefully and waited for an opening. The slam is a great way to break up a fireteam, and if you’re good with it you can even down one or two of them.

I hate the parry because the Pred should be deadly up close but vulnerable to gunfire. I think adding the stamina cost was a step in the right direction, but needs further tweaking. I think the cost should be higher.

The Predator should be deadly up close, but the fireteam should be able to keep him back with gunfire. The scout should have more damage bonuses to ranged weapons.

Pred health was fine, but if it was too low, now it’s too high. They need to split the diff.

Parry still needs to cost more stamina. The fireteam needs to rely on teamwork to stay alive, not their ability to Sekiro the Predator. This isn’t Fireteam Sekiro: Shadows Die Never. But they also should have options and shouldn’t be totally vulnerable or screwed when they lose a player.

I think a lot of the changes are great, they just need to continue to refine. Pred is definitely a little too strong, but so is Parry. Keep playing, keep giving feedback. They’ll get it eventually.

yea they will and its still a fun game. im a lifelong predator fan of the first 2 films so im in this no matter what lol
