General Tips fireteam

do mind if i ask why ?

Smokes hinder the ft more than they hinder the pred. And thermal makes it a little tough to see and you cant see the laser from the pc if you stand in it. Smokes are pretty useless in this game they dont even hinder the ai

uninstall unless you are V farming.

ill keep that in mind

Team up. Make friends. Nothing gets under the skin of a pred than fighting premades.

You will get better at it pretty soon.

PS Tips: If youre out there mining for V solo, and the rest of your crew are being killed, just rage quit and go on the forums and tell everyone how dissappointed you are with others being pototoes.

Because you were legit,…mining for V.

Ahoy again!

Let’s go through builds first.
A solid, all-around build is an Assault carrying the mercenary rifle (as it comes with a grenade launcher) with the second available shotgun as a secondary. Bring stims, ammo packs and noise makers. Noise makers will draw AI away from your objective areas. You can never have too much ammo. Now for specializations, Deadly if you’re using an Assault rifle. Its DPS becomes insane.

Another can’t miss is a Support carrying stims, med kits and ammo packs. Using your choice of assault rifle and either the minigun or 1st shotgun (highest damage) as a secondary. Using Gear head and Iron lungs as perks which gives you 1 more of each gear item and more stamina to keep up with the others on the team. Field Medic is the best specialization for this role (even though every Predator bitches about them. Myself included.) but if you choose the role, you MUST play said role. Support your team, get them up if they fall etc as that role revives teammates in 1 second. Set your ammo packs and med kits inside large buildings in easy to get to places out of the line of fire from outside.

Old Fart Dutch is a great character. His hammerhead rifle is pretty good too. Using overseer with him is effective, provided your team stays together and on task.

Dutch 87 is a lot like Old Fart Dutch. Just younger and with a slightly better rifle.

Strategy.
Use a headset with a mic on it to communicate with your team. Even if you’re with 3 randoms, you can at least tell the rest of them where the Predator is, if you’ve found ammo boxes, etc. Communication is key.

Use specializations. Experiment to find your favorite. Yes, they’re all OP, but never look a gift horse in the mouth.

Don’t rage quit if the team you have isn’t the best. Thats for sissies. All XP counts toward the goal of lvl 150. Just have fun.

Mud up. Every chance you get. Find cover and mud up. Unless you’re using the OWLF agent. The Predator can still see you, but not as well. OWLF agents basically have permanent mudding effects.

Don’t reinforce after only 1 teammate is dead. Wait til 2 are dead, then split up and reinforce. Whomever is NOT reinforcing should act as bait. Make lots of noise, chase the Predator if possible to give the reinforcer time. If they die (as in dead, not just downed) before reinforcement finishes, they will come back full strength.

If you are on an actual team, leave VT until after the mission objectives in that area are finished, unless its right in front of you. Tag VT for your team as well.

Ammo crates also give 1 stim back to you if you’ve used one. Be mindful of using crates if you’re at full stims and someone else isn’t. Talk to each other if possible.

If one of your random teammates is a dick and runs off to do whatever alone, let them go. They are easy prey and give you more time to finish your mission.

Exfil should be your goal, NOT killing the Predator. If you wind up on a very good team and they hunt the Predator, fine, but normally, let the Predator come to you. They will. Its what they’re there for.

Keep your eyes and ears open for bear traps and motion sensors. Shoot bear traps. Most Predators stick motion sensors in places they can’t be shot. Learn the difference between real in-game gunfire and audio decoy noises.

If you die, don’t spam the reinforcement mission alert. Your team sees it. Don’t worry. Unless they’re dicks or terrible players, you’ll be back soon.

Hand grenades (not those launched from a weapon) can be cooked for a better outcome against AI or the Predator. Just don’t cook them too long.

The plasma rifle is amazing vs AI. If using that as your primary, bring a shotgun, the DXL revolver or a potent SMG along too for the Predator.

IR jammers used in conjunction with smoke grenades forces a Predator to wade in to an area and look for you, or to wait until they expire. By that time, you should have moved anyway, unless its at the exfil point. If using these at exfil, get ready, because he/she will almost always run in looking for 1 last kill. Believe it or not, that’s your teams best chance to kill it.

If you down a Predator, shoot its masknoff at once, giving it no time to arm its self destruct. If it manages it, run, unless you’re confident you can disarm it. If you disarm it, refill ammonif possible and heal before AI gets there to destroy the corpse.

Thats all I can think of for now. Good luck!

If you see your team chasing a wounded Predator

Help

Shoot motion sensors when you can though… Not all Preds are that smart.

If you’re running a Support, just run. You don’t have the speed.

Also great against alarms. 3 shots from any distance.

No no scatter it will make you less of a target lol

Lol insane how easy this game is for ft

Ridiculously so but someday Preds will get something

One more thing… forget about suppressors for your guns altogether. They reduce damage and the Predator can hear suppressed weapons anyway using thermal vision. The only reason to use them is not alerting the AI. Just move fast to eliminate AI/destroy alarms. Its not worth the trade off IMO.

You’re fastest with the knife equipped

Do not block doorways unless the Predator is inside

Do not block your team mates bullets by getting in front of them while they are shooting

Do not run away while a team mate fights the Predator

WHEN YOU HURT THE PREDATOR YOURE SUPPOSED TO CHASE AND KILL IT

ALL IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH OWLF REGULATIONS MUST REPORT TO COMMANDER KEYES IMMEDIATELY
