No, in fact this is where all weapons should be in terms of DPS. But if this is the state of balance the game is going to be in you can’t release a weapon that is completely fucking useless when put up against the rest. So, if they aren’t going to nerf all the other weapons like they should they should buff this one so there is an actual reason to use it.

The Plasma Rifle, while fun to use against AI, is not particularly effective against Predators due to its low, 25 ammo count per clip and the ridiculous empty clip/overheating mechanic. That shit will get you killed in a close encounter unless you’re constantly paying attention to the ammo count and endlessly reloading.
That thing needs at least 5 more shots per clip and perhaps a slight damage increase too. Or at least get rid of that empty clip bullshit.
By the way. The shots of that thing will go right through branches. I assume that this is a bug.
You know a full mag only does 50% hp to the hunter class. It would be fine if they gave it another 5 rounds

The only bad point you have on it is that you dont like the damage vs pred.
However everything else on the gun is good.
The only think that kinda sucks on it is the reload time. The over heat is a bit long.
Of course no ones focusing on the fact that since this gun is projectile, the others should be as well.
But no, yall just want another broken gun.

But if that’s what you want, just join all the other ft mains and ask to 2 or 3 shot the pred lol.

It’s not an opinion. I’m correcting you cause you’re wrong. This gun does 1/5th the damage of the good assault rifles. It’s objectively bad. And if you wanna clear bots bring the 2XL which one taps plus chunks the predator. It’s bad. Move on

It seems like the point your making is, the weapon is good because it’s damage is more balanced. Which I’ve already stated if all the guns did this little damage it would help the game. Because killing the predator would require team work. But that’s not how the game is. All the other guns are way stronger. So until those get a heavy nerf. This weapon is a massive liability

If we get all the guns balanced around this one I’d be fine with that. But you literally can’t stand there and tell me this is a good weapon when the other ones VASTLY outperform it in every category. Not only is it’s damage borderline irrelevant, it’s the only one that can actually hurt YOU

Also, no, read my stuff again, I say the gun is good because its projectile and how good/ smooth it feels to shoot.
I honestly believe it’s because its projectile, but I’m not entirely sure.
I dont know if you notice it or not, but theres this slight millisecond janky or stutter with all the other guns and I believe it’s because its hitscan.
The fact that it goes through branches is a nice touch too, as well destroying everything else.
The damage is sub par compared to the other guns, but only because it isnt another broken gun, vs the pred.
So if it only has one down side I cant write it off.
Plus I always go for what feels good, meta be damned.
Unless I have absolutely no choice.
For the most part I can make the rifle work.
But pred damage aside I think all the other shit I’ve mentioned is more Important.
Most likely itl get a damage increase and yaaay another broken gun cause fk pred.
But if nothing else I want all guns to be projectile.
This is why I hate when people say the gun is complete shit.
Cause lord knows everyone will say that and poof, There goes any chance of projectile guns.

Ok, I like using the glock in the game. But I understand that it is complete shit when compared to a smg. You “liking” a weapon doesn’t make it good. I like the warclub but it is still trash.

Also yes. You can like the gun. That’s fine. You can enjoy the gun. That’s all up to you. I think it looks cool. But it’s just a hinderance when you can literally unload the thing. Have overheat. Then unload it again and still not kill some predators. Meanwhile the AK can literally wind 2 predators in a mag. Like how are we even having this conversation. If they nerf those guns ( they should) this gun would be a cool choice and perhaps viable
