Thanks. It looks better than i originally though it would, but it’s not there yet. The symmetry is not there but I’ll try to fix it somehow. The right side looks exactly how I want it to look, but i already chipped too much away from the left.
Also, I’ll have to do some insets for the eye area. Will have to put in some plastic to compensate for the empty space.

I usually just download pepakura templates from the internet and adapt them for EVA foam, then use a laser cutter because I just suck with a razor blade, lol
Been wanting to do a pred mask but haven’t bothered as I know the whole suit will probably take me more than a year to design and construct.

I like your approach. It’s much more professional and there’s more control over it.
In mine its really tough to get the symmetry from left to right for me so it’s not going to look ideal. I was going for JH mask but it’s not going to look exactly like it cause it’s my first time doing something like this and i already messed up in a few places and i can’t go back. But, for better or worse, it will look original cause I’ll just work with what’s available at this point.
I wanted to do an original mask last Halloween, but it was tough to come up with a design by drawing it. Here I’m basically creating it as i go. What nice about the dry foam is that you can do rough cuts and then smooth things out by just rubbing it. It does get pretty messy so I’m doing it outdoors.

You can use modeling clay (non hardening, like plastilina) and will probably get better results than using dry foam, since you can basically undo/redo things easily. Most people just use it over a foam head and start sculpting. Then you can cast or use papermache. At this point with what you have, I would go for modeling clay on top of what you have done and use it to correct anything I need to. You can spread a thin layer over it and just keep working your way up until you come up with a finished product.

I’d suggest for the ghost face Pred that you use obsidian armor shader and journeyman mask

Minor improvement to the frontal are and the eyes. Looking to be a fine master chief 😂. Clay does not stick well to the foam but it’s manageable. Will try to finish the top area and apply paper mache today and tomorrow. Hopefully it goes well.
