Happy Halloween!!!

The whole hospital chanting scene, “Evil dies tonight!!” was soooooo cringe!!! I couldn’t even stand it! Haha!

It was awesomely gruesome though! I love how Michael kills without ANY hesitation!! That aaa pretty bad ass! Overall it was a decent film, I just think it suffers from a bad script.

Never cared for Mike Meyers tbh. Always felt like a knock off Jason to me however his Psychiatrist in the first two films, that guy I like. He felt more insane than Meyers and was constantly pulling out his gun to shoot anyone that even resembled him. He was so far away from what a psychiatrist should be that I couldn’t stop laughing.

I’ll never forget that scene in Halloween 2 where he sees one of many kids wearing the same costume and his immediate reaction is to whip out his gun and try to kill him while the detective tries to stop him. While all that what was happening a cop car barrels down the busy lit up street and hits the obviously scared kid in the middle of the street into a van which blows up. The cop gets out saying “he came out of no where, I couldn’t stop”. The whole thing was a comedy skit lol.

If I’m not mistaken I think Halloween by John Carpenter came first and Friday The 13th came afterwards, Jason wasn’t even the killer til part 2,
But the F13 movies never really took themselves too seriously whereas I think the Halloween movies take themselves TOO seriously sometimes almost to a fault 😂

Well, Michael DID come first, so Jason is technically the knock off :P

I watched it last night and thought Michael was an absolute machine. The mob scene wasn’t that bad either, and really established Michael as an inhuman force. Curious to know what you found wrong about it.

That may be so but I didn’t watch them in that order so clearly Meyers must be the knock off. Also Jason has a better design imo so that’s another point going his way.

I just feel like the series really struggles to commit to whether Michael is just a messed up human or a supernatural force. Maybe I watched one too many Rob Zombie remakes :P

Never really cared for Jason or Michael but I’ve always liked Freddy Krueger
But my favorite will probably be the first 2 scream movies

The series has been kind of a shit show for awhile, since about 4-5 onward lol. It’s important to know all of those aren’t canon anymore, only the first, 2018, Kills and Ends are part of a specific canon now, so whatever they’re trying to establish now is what it’s gonna be…even though those lines are still blurred, lol. But I get it, and I think Kills makes it more clear Myers is inhuman.

Also, I kind of enjoyed Rob’s remake. I know that’s a hot take, but that’s just me.

Well Halloween came out in 1978, the first Friday wasn’t until 1980, and the creators even said they were trying to ride on Halloween’s success when making Friday. TECHNICALLY Jason didn’t even show up as a killer until Part 2 a year later.

But I agree, Jason does LOOK better. But Myers/The Shape is more mentally terrifying to me. He also has cooler music (sorry Henry).

I’d rather go for the “all these slasher dudes must be tied to the necronomicon in some way” rather than the lame "these kids had a rough child hood…so they get sent to the looney house for being creative serial killers"thing.
Million dollar budget for plan A, 5$ budget for plan B (bet you an address soda fat one for a bonus). Takeyour pick.

Honestly I feel you on that! At least with Jason Vorhees that have us know that he’s a undead killing machine zombie that can’t die. With Micheal Myers it back and forth.
