Idk I felt they played the honor code to a absolute perfection with Feral. He seemed like the embodiment of it at times, anyways I was gonna say how this is Feral’s first hunt on Earth so he doesn’t exactly know what to expect. He’s so focused on the hunt at hand he’s forgetting one important factor that possibly played to his downfall, that is the air. Yautja’s are affected differently to Earth’s atmosphere hence why they need to use a rebreather if their mask is either lost or damaged.
This is a small detail, but it’s a nod to not only Predator 2 but some Predator comics. Earths atmosphere affects Yautja to the point it becomes hard to breath (could be why we always see Feral struggling to breath or looking like he’s out of breath at times). His mask had no protection against environmental gasses, this is ultimately forcing his body to work more then it probably usually would having him use more energy more then he thinks. It’s kinda like the equivalent to how humans react when at higher altitudes.
This is simply in theory though

I’m not implying anything, I’m saying in Theory from what I know of Predator lore. Predators can’t survive let alone go a week without suffering from Earth’s natural atmosphere affects. Feral has no form of filter from his mask, he mainly used it as armor and to see.
Feral was exposed to the elements since arriving on Earth, which could have affected not only his thinking from lack of what he required to breath, but also his own breathing as well, having used more energy then needed to simply breath and with everything he went through in the movie the side effects would have gotten worse and worse. This possibly could be the ready why we see Feral make more mistakes, however I’m not ruling out Naru knew what she was doing when she fully understood and studied the Predator similar to Dutch.

The writers didn’t forget about the air! Feral died of O2 poisioning! That’s why he was stupid!
dude ran away from a 1v1 with a guy armed with a stick and hid behind a shield vs a primitive bow and arrow. fighting muskets with 0 accuracy and a reload time so long that the frogs were comic relief characters. muh honor. Sure lets say his reflexes were 999% slower because of their air:
arnie would dumpstered this pred. it stepped on a beartrap IN AN OPEN FIELD even after knowing what they look like after the tall grass scene. he had his HANDS ON IT and couldnt figure out how it operated besides the fact naru was stuck lol lmao. He seemed confused he could even cut people/trees with the shield and then cut his own arm off with it. He didnt even know wtf to do with the shield besides opening and closing it so he just stood there hoping frogs ran out of ammo.
Preds are literally dumb as rocks or this one’s from the extra special inbred hybrid zoo reserve.
