DBD all the way
The only thing balanced on this game is that you can pick up pred being a first time player and still get some kills.
A first time pred will always wins against a first time FT and that says it all about the balance here.

I’m not a fan of the, cash grab argument.
I had a dev break it down for me in another game and most Dlc barely pay for themselves if ever. It isn’t the real purpose for releasing them. They add content but also add game sales, that’s how they justify making them.
Ah that makes sense. I was more refering triple A devolpers mentalities coughs EA. I was putting microtrasncations and dlc in same category which they aren’t.
Played a DBD game, did not like it, like at all… I played survivor or whatever the’re called. Me and some other guy won, don’t even know how. To me F13 is by far the superior game.
PHG all day, DBD was not as robust as Friday the 13th and neither is it better than PHG.
Dead by daylight only felt good to play with friends and fuck around. I don’t really like games where you’re helpless and can’t fight back, I’ve always thought that shit was fucking stupid. And the killers move way too damn slow and cant really do anything cool, so that’s boring as shit.
I honestly think those who by daylight seriously are retarded.
I dont care who gets offended by that, cause it’s such a stupid game to take seriously.
Like, back when I tried it, it really felt like a party game more than anything.
So ya if you’re playing it just fucking around, that’s cool, otherwise, it’s a lame game.
PHG has more actual content than DBD except in one department, and DBD far exceeds PHG.
FT has its missions to do, and there are what a dozen missions per map? But they all follow the same actions, go to a place, kill AI, kill important AI, defend computer, wait out time, break some stuff, do some actions. Surv has a lot more maps, but only one mission, escape. So its do gens and loop And the next game is do gens and loop but in the wild west.
FT has loadout customizations. 4(5) classes, 10 ranged guns with up to three attachments each, 10 close guns with up to three attachments each, up to 3 choices of 8 gear, up to three choices of 25 perks. All of this is unlockable through playing, except Dutch. Surv have 1 choice of 15 items with 2 choices of up to 15 attachments, 1 choice of a couple dozen offerings, and 4 choices of ~25 perks, unless you bought DLCs or got lucky. All of this unlockable through RNG except you need shrine luck, have lots of currency, and then hope RNG gives you the perk, or you max out the levels in a Surv skin and hope RNG gives the perks to you for another Surv skin.
I’m running out of time, so I’ll leave the rest to other people who want to go into detail, but I’m going to end it with: Pred’s classes and weapons and gear change the gameplay for the FT a bit, but not really too much. Killers completely change how a game is going to go because of their diverse powers, something PHG cannot replicate, or even should. One killer keeps you out of the tall grass and avoid using chase blockers, one can sneak up on you, one can traverse the map and down you in one it quickly. One cancels loops, one can hit you from range, and that’s just what the game starts with. While the core gameplay loop might get stale, the killers will make you act differently to succeed in that gameplay loop.
In that case, we should make Batman a FT. He did to a predator crossover, and everyone likes Batman, so we should get a bunch of new players in.
Don’t think Batman is in the budget. Predator and Alien are owned by Disney via Fox and I don’t think they’d want to give the WB/DC money.
Just because it was done in the past doesn’t mean it’s possible for the future. I do understand your argument but feel you could have made it better with another property.
I personally think illfonic should add more things to hunt, Aliens are established and popular. If there’s other monsters/Aliens that have fan communities, that are owned by Disney and don’t break immersion. They should be borrowed and adapted too.
There are like 3 MAYBE 4 missions per map not dozens lol
Right now, DBD 100%. When PHG works as intended they can coexist.
Im terms of balance they’re both about equally bad. But at least Illfonic seems to be tilting in the right direction (for behavior maybe, haven’t played since the beggining of the year so keep that in mind.) DBD has more re-playability but thats because its been out for longer and has more content. Given time this game will as well.
I have to give to PHG as better simply because of the casaul balance.
DBD is a casaul game but has aspects that don’t belong like only having a ranked mode. And a lot of very annoying stuns like pallets (not bad by itself, but when combined with other stuns it builds too much) flashlights, head on, SWF swarming ypu when yoy pick a survivor up. And on the survivor side theres camping and tunneling. Now yes there are perks that counter these bit are completly broken in both op and under powered. DS is op. Not on a normal survivor but on a survivor who knows how to abuse it its straight up broken, and it stuns so its also annoying. Plus it in an open gate situation insta win. You can either crawl or run to the gate boom no skill. So as soon a sthat survivor is unhooked gg. And the problems for survivors is that it takes up a perk slot (good survivors will want it anyways but for casauls) this mean that in order to avoid getting tunneled you have to give up a quarter of your build. Not to mention that this op, annoying, anti-tunneling perk, is locked behind a paywall… yes, hey you want to have fun? Give us 8 bucks to grind out a perk so you don’t get tunneled. Instead of, you know, fixing tunnelling inherently? And yes I know you can get it from the shrine but that thing is rarer than Jgallerhorn.
With borrowed its similar, not as op, not behind a paywall but it still takes a quarter of your build, AND IT HAS TO BE ON A TEAMATE! Ya, nothing like relying on randoms to run a perk to counter camping. Not all camping though stealth killers totally camp all day. (BTW, this is done instead of an inherent fix)
And then all the killer perks that fix annoyances? Ya they’re garbage.
Now yes PHG has death squads but so does DBD.
Another thing is that the killer has more things to juggle than the survivors do. 7 gens, 4 survivors, DS, looping, map controll, managing all 4 survivors perks, its a lot for a CASAUL (not saying that this is inherently unbalanced, just not casaul)
Plus because the win condition is whatever tou want ir ro bw, DBD can never be balanced untill thats straightened up.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk
Overgrowth has Drugs, chemicals, water, solar panels, drug trafficker, brother killing, artefacts, stealing data, usb hacking, and I feel like there is more, but I can’t think of it at the moment. Just because the Pred die on our bullets in the first objective doesn’t mean there aren’t a dozen missions per map.
Every objective within the same mission does not count as different missions lol. So no it does not have dozens
Those are all separate missions.
You can’t convince me there are more than like 4 maybe 5
I know. facts you don’t agree with are hard to swallow and best ignored, right?
You seem offended lol I’m not dissing you but there’s definitely not a dozen different missions per map
Objectives and missions are different things
Depends on whether you define missions as objectives. Personally I think of missions as a series of objectives.
