soo by atheist logic there is an afterlife as long as there’s no official biblical dietys or angels in it? Just humies? Does it really make a difference at that point? It sounds like its just taking unneccessary steps to try to distance from an organized religon by not naming anything specific.
Is this like a sect of scienceism? and reincarnation is included also or is it an either/or thing? There’s no force at work but you get reincarnated because ?

Well eh…I mean like I said I know enough to know that any type of higher power that exists would be beyond our understanding. I guess the term metaphysical or paranormal may apply but I feel it’s simply a science we don’t understand. Could all just be brain chemistry, could actually be a form of energy we’re not aware of. I don’t think it’s an accident and that life just happened. I don’t know and I’m not going to find out in my lifetime so I don’t bother putting too much thought in it.

I think the afterlife that religion proposes is more tangeble and people can relate to warm and fuzzy of heaven and fires of hell. In the picture provided by science, it seems like even if there is afterlife, noone would care for it.
Its all an attempt to make it tangible. It’s just a lengthy metaphysical discussion about what’s more or less the same core concepts. Some people don’t want to be thrown into a box I get it but what evidence does science have for an afterlife?

Just find it odd people find some sort of mental high ground for being more vague than others.
Maybe I just got used to atheists being like “when i die i sleep forever theres nothing.” The nu-atheism that seems to be trying to just co-opt the afterlife is like the very definition of wanting to have your cake and eat it too. Maybe they don’t realize they’re agnostics?

Atheist logic? Logic is what it is. The answer to that question is obviously, no. Whether or not an afterlife exists and whether or not God/deities exist are independent propositions.
Either could exist without the other.
This isn’t some kind of complicated theory. It’s very simple logic.

What logical conclusions have you drawn from the afterlife that you have to impart on us physical beings?
At this point i dont think science has anything to say about afterlife. I don’t even know where they would start. There are different forms of energy in the universe, but how that would relate to ‘soul’ or consciousness is beyond me
