The balance is there. Assuming both teams know the meta. Stalker down range can 1 tap. And the the Meta FT classes can wind the predator in a couple seconds. The problem is like. It’s just boring. And limiting. Sure if both teams run the meta it’s closer to balance. But if the predator chooses not to run Stalker down range / analytic down range. Well then the balance shifts drastically. It just makes for repetitive gameplay

That’s not balance then.
If only one thing is viable, or a few things, then theres no balance.

Problem is I don’t think anyone here has ever played a game that’s been truly balanced so they think this shits fine.

And from what I’ve seem so far,
Devs who make asymmetrical games dont know how to balance games.

I mean yeah that’s my point. With the highest level stuff on both sides, it’s close. Still fireteam sided in my opinion based on field medic alone.

But the moment someone is like oh let me try something else out. You’re fucked lol

So yes. I agree the balance is shit. And if anything else, boring

You cant factor in skill level for balance, on the low end or high.
Even mid.

I mean I’ve said a million times before, I dont really like to talk about it anymore cause no one listens or actually cares about actual balance.

The majority of ppl who say its balanced just enjoy bullying preds, or having a pretty extreme advantage, so they go off it feeling fine to them.
They don’t try to actually analyze the game itself.

Then you got people who try to balance off certain peoples skill level, and because of those results, they think it’s fine.

It’s rare for me to even mention anything about balance on the forums anymore, because no one really cares about having an actual discussion anymore, like you could do quite often in the early days.

People are too set in their ways.
Which gets us no where.
Then other people have just given up, and dont really care.

Cant blame them cause illfonic doesn’t listen.

Even at high level it’s not balanced, ft still holds the advantage.
Like extreme advantage.

Again, I’m pretty sure no one here has seen what good balance actually looks like.

It just sucks.
I really wanted for this game to reach its potential.
If this game would have done that, reach its potential, this game would be extremely popular now.

Bugs and all the technical issues kill this game too.

I loaded into one lastnight and had to solo it , I got to level 20 without dying 👍🏻.

I haven’t really been playing . I had some games of pred lastnight with badblood . Getting the no parry bug , can’t ADS and can’t fire 😄 . Good Times

I keep getting the audio bug nonstop nearly every match now as pred or FT. At this point they’ll have to put up a few signs around the jungle saying watch out, deaf pred/FT area just for me.

I think you should balance around the highest skill level. Because if you don’t, stuff gets made too strong. The good players become god like with op shit

You have to balance the game itself, not around any skill level.

Then if something pops out or sticks out as an issue, you fix it.

Cause for example.
One of the main issues this game suffered from.

The damage of the ft is fine for a 1v1.
But when you multiply the damage,
By 2 ft, 3ft, 4ft, it becomes beyond fucking broken.

I mean it’s pretty much common sense this is bad balance. Its extremely Unfair for the pred.

It wouldnt be an issue tho, if pred was given more mechanics to help mitigate or avoid fatal damage.

Such as, grabs, throws, pushes, tosses, knock ups, knock downs, sweeps, disarm, being able to injure the ft, so they cant run, have trouble aiming, ect.

Basically, ways to be able to engage multiple ft at once, and to be able to chip away at the ft without his damage being negated by the ft healing.

If the pred can get reworked and put in a good state, then the ft can get the rework they need as well.

Cause of the ft side, they dont need much, however, some basic shit would make ft feel better and that would make them more fun to play.

Such as, dodging of some kind, stamina heavy tho so you cant dodge forever, maybe 2 good dodges then like a 3-5 second phase or stamina recovery.

Vaulting, which pred needs too btw.

Possibly Adding prone and crawling?

From there, once we get both sides to feel good and smooth, then illfonic can slowly start implementing New unique gear for both sides.

Maybe elemental Effects/ weapons,
Better traps for pred, more cool shit for both sides.

I know this post is in vain because sadly, illfonic Doesn’t listen, and not enough people actually Care.

But I honestly Believe the game needs a major rework.
Both sides are lack luster.

Its just right now, pred is in a shitty spot.

I mean yes but also no. I agree, like in a 1v1 the ft does a ton of damage already. So yeah then times 4 it’s bonkers. Which I’m fine with them delete him all together that’s how it should work. But the predator needs more ways to divide and conquer.

But also to my point of skill level, you 100% are supposed to balance around high level players. That’s like the absolute gold standard of balance.

If you have a weapon or item that’s really strong, but is really hard to use. So you say well it’s difficult to master. So this is fair and balanced. Then 4 really good players all use the weapon, and have mastered it. They will just fuck on you. You have to balance a game to make sure an item/weapon/perk won’t be completely busted in the hands of a good player.

Hence one of our common games, smite. Balances around what the pro players are doing. If they looked at basic stats and were like oh my gosh Bakasura is dominating these pubs! Nerf him! Lol like what.

Or, oh no. Isis is doing so awful in pubs. Buff her! Uhhhh WAT please no lol. You definitely need to balance around good players

All the pro players do, is wait for their ults, and Sanc and puri to be up, and then go in
But until then they all sit around scared as fuck not wanting to do shit.

Second, those pieces of shit only want to fight when they outnumber the enemy.
Bitch move, it shows no skill.
Dont get me wrong, a few ganks at good times is smart play.
But even your entirely plan only works off ganks like that?

Smite as soon as season 4 started went to absolute shit.

Now it’s all a fucking defense meta, and warriors and tanks are broken as fuck.

The pros ruined how good smite was.
It was balanced back in season 3.

The same exact thing happened in Paragon.
Epic listened to the wrong people, entered a defense meta, and it went to ABSOLUTE shit.

It was worse than smite.

And what happened?
A year later or a bit more than a year, the game shut down.

What about destiny?
Hand cannons got an unnecessary nerf,
Primary weapons lost elements, and a bunch of good weapons/ perks got removed.

So no man, while I do agree high level play should be observed, it’s not the only thing that should be watched.

Or else good games get ruined.

And honestly, no, a pred shouldn’t get melted simply because hes engaging a full team.
There should be a way with dodging and a few other mechanics, that if you have the skill, its viable.

People seem to think I mean one attack spam when I say that, but that ain’t the case.

I mean by doing combos, and chaining different actions.
Sweeps, throws, disarms, stuns, ect.

So a melee style can be viable.
