Literally because this is never going to be touched upon again. Independent stories like every AvP game. Not that thats a bad thing but AvP is the last place to look for a cohesive “cinematic universe” most comics had essentially 0 continuity or no impact on anything ever and the novels are just older, ditched scripts. It’s a collection of ideas at most and that’s fine as predator works as a time period peice where you can just drop predator into a civil war or put him vs cavemen and start to tell a story (although alien doesnt work here at all)

Ships, colonies, planets. That’s out the window though Illfonic stated they’re only doing Earth so we don’t even get a Predators homage.

I believe the only thing I found enjoyable with AvP is the 2010 game they made. Where you could play as marine, alien and predator

AVP as a concept is simple, yet deceptively complex. We’ve seen how lop sided and out of control things can get with a myriad of Predator “Anti-Heros” and multiple instances of Xenomorphs just being there as dogs of war, or doing their own thing outside of the entire plot because no one wants to give a Xenomorph a “character”. Sure we have Grid, Six, and Stompy, but at the end of the day, they’re all just killing machines with no personally at all besides design.

I’ve heard different takes from AvP’s Galaxy poster guys on how to fix this, one of them being a complete rebrand because “Aliens vs Predator” is too limiting. I agree somewhat with that assessment, because there is a whole lot of things that will never again see the light of day that were briefly explored in the AvP Universe, and we can have those things explored in a “Stories of the Aliens vs Predator Universe”, Fashion.
