People come and go in game development all the time and we all should expect at least a year’s worth of content anyways. This isn’t the end of the world.

From what I can tell of the listing it’s mostly for coders with a few art stuff here and there. So really it seems like they want somebody to work A.I stuff. It does make me wonder if a few engineers quit though and the crashing was caused by people trying to maintain servers who weren’t necessarily qualified to do it. Either that or the engineers they had on hand couldn’t account for the stress of having the game run as is.

Doesn’t matter where the offices are. Most game studios are moving to a remote working model. Covid was only a kick in the ass for what should have happened years ago.

Well of course they’re hiring. They don’t have anybody that can work on the game without screwing something up.

nah dude. They’ve been hiring for a very long time now in their Austin Office. Mostly artists and developers with extensive game developing experience. There’s a reason they haven’t hired anyone yet. More than likely the salary and expectations from the job are a mismatch.

I think they’re just trying to hire more people because it’s how you scale up production of content.

Everyone starts somewhere, besides it isn’t like we couldn’t use more lore, someone has to write out it all out for Fox to approve.
