Illfonic, please add an energy shield that surrounds the Predator, when the Fireteam throws frag grenades or shoots with the underbarrel grenade launcher the grenades will bounce back to the Fireteam player who threw or shot them in the first place, but the nades have to land on the FT’s heads 100% of the times, it’s part of the high tech energy shield mechanic, so no further explanation about that.

people that want 400000 hp pred are the same audience that think endlessly holding the trigger magdumping an unflinching boss in loot shooters is fun and rewarding

Yes this is true, but i still want the Ghostrider’s bike for the Predator, it will be faster to reach the Fireteam on the maps, it could also have some kind of automatic laser cannons and have maybe 8 or 22 bombs that can be dropped while flying. The bombs could leave a burning field after detonation so the Fireteam have to be more careful where they step.

For a pred it is, at least by predators terms.

Well alongside several other changes as insinuated, it can be used to keep the predator in the game longer, and vice versa allow for the FT be tanky as well (though I’d still suggest a mechanical change to why their tanky rather than a crap load of health.

I think a series of inherent second chances would be a good idea, with the predators goal being to drain those resources. Making the match a battle of attrition, allowing for good game time and more mechanics to play around with.

The pred already controls the initial engagement. Its going to get melted by 4 people focus firing it period so 4x hp isnt the answer does nothing but make regular queue impossible.

Healing is hardly a second chance, and no, rez is not an inherent in either case.

Those are all second chances when you’re healing to full several times in a match, damage is high enough that they might as well be comeback mechanics. Why do you need an inherent rez? tf? Part of the reason this attrition game doesn’t work is because there are so many resources.

Second being that this is a shooter with stealth elements which contrasts with having absurd amounts of hp, healing, and revives.

Well with the predator high health as well.

The stealth elements are bare minimum. Besides you can have stealth builds that either specialize in staying stealthed or leaving and entering stealth over and over again.

I never said consistent healing. I’m not even considering consistent healing as a second chance. Even if I’m wrong for that you should of gotten the hint.

Hell I want more empthesis on map based healing, which would reduce healing.

Besides if your adamant on stealth not working, then you can’t have stealth in the game since that gameplay would result in short skirmishes not long enough to facilitate a proper match.

4 people in a building intermittently huddled around a medpack will always kill any momentum the match ever had.

No, the AOE cthulu thing was until nerfs, and all you did in that game was burst down the healer, or Lazarus the walking second chance. Wraith wasnt friendly to new players because they couldnt differentiate the clone and required people to use dodge.

The game now is a series of short skirmishes but the main objectives are completely unrelated to the pvp and may as well be optional.

Predator hops around splashing with caster until someone fails at healing because preds tools do not reward patience and lining up headshots bc FT just heals through it. 4 FT focus fire pred and aim to delete it before it can react because it has no immediate healing options the way FT does and if it did it would be too oppressive.
As soon as pred starts taking damage he’s at a disadvantage and the counterplay is hoping 2+ people can’t melt you while your leaping away because they sure af arent going to have a hard time tracking you. The laughable amount of hp pred would need to survive 3-4 people bursting it isn’t even an option. you’d be better off randomizing bullet spread and making guns insanely inaccurate with meme recoil. Atleast shots would count.

Instead of this being an arcadey bunnyhopping DPS race it should be an ambush game. A la Hunt Showdown.
Should emphasize getting a good hit on the pred to limit its effective health, not just spraying at it as soon as you see it. youknowlikethemovie. Thematically and mechanically better than hurr, durr, spray, syringe. Both sides should be picking shots, not splashing and spraying. More hp just compounds the problem.

Hunt is a fantastic game, especially if you use special ammo to annoy and ruin peoples day.

Yeah the endless healing is just gamebreaking. Literally a campers wet dream. I’m calling it the equivalent of std orgies illfonic does in their office
