Yeah sometimes when the team is using multiple Fanatics etc you need to trap one guy or at least separate him from the group and kill him off, get him out of the way. Otherwise the Fireteam will just all be shooting the shit out of you at the same time.
At one point last night, Mike and Infinite both shot me in quick succession with the SAWZ-50, 2 bullets took HALF my health.
And yeah of all the weapons I am most adept in, the Combistick is my best.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Dealing with multiple good snipers on the same team is tough.

Would it still be considered spamming if you were using plasma pistol?
When it’s a two man operation (first encounter), i think you can afford to quick claim. It seems like they go to pick up a down without a second thought in mind.
Best tactic for using traps is get above the Fireteam in a tree preferably as they provide cover or a sniper tower etc and throw them directly down onto the Fireteams heads.
It helps if you pick out a target and throw 2 traps, - 1 in front of him, and 1 behind him because when he sees the first one, he will back away from the 1st trap and shoot at it, likely emptying half a pistol mag, and walking into the trap behind him. Then you throw Combistick and Bow shot at the same time or if you don’t have Combi just use Bow and try to hit headshots which are vital on the likes of Dantes, Dutches and Supports.
If you have trouble getting the drop on people early on I can tell you a very good and not very well known method to use at the start of the match if you want in a DM.

I know what you mean, I got destroyed by 2 snipes yesterday, and every time I got close they would no scope me or spray me with the pistol.

Yeah, I’ve seen videos of Predator players use traps in the way that you described. Throwing two traps sounds like a good idea, I might try that.
I’ve managed to get early downs with plasma or the disc before. I’m okay with getting kills early on. My main problem is preventing reinforcements and killing everyone after reinforcements.

Yeah, snipers are a pain to deal with as predator. The sniper is fun to use when you’re fireteam though lol.

Field medics and 9 second spots are cheap to use regardless.
I’m okay with losing to a good team, I look at them as learning experiences to get better as a predator player.
Also, you be getting carried by infiniteplayz in all the matches I’ve played against y’all, so sit your lame ass down.

Dont worry about those vids mate. You’re a good showing regardless. Being a pred main is a tough go against premades.
If you want to prevent reinforcements then here are a few steps you may want to take:
- Practice your aim and get it on point either in general, or before matches
- Begin using Tracker on Jungle Hunter/Captured/Hunter class
- Due to getting better aim, you shouldn’t be as reliable on damage buffs and it allows you to use Tracker instead of Fervent for example
- Tracker will of course give you the location of the mudded up Fireteam members trying to hide and get reinforcements
- Once downing the last Fireteam member before reinforcements, either pop off your Target Isolation scan straight away, or wait until you are near reinforcements,
- LEAVE THE GUY DOWNED, do NOT kill him, the Fireteam don’t want to waste a reinforcement and come back with a man still down, it also gives you time to find the last man before he tries to reach the radio.
- In the situation that you down the 3rd man BEFORE you get the reinforcements being called notification, immediately pop Target Iso
- In the situation that you down the 3rd man AFTER the reinforcements has been called and cooked, wait until you are nearer the radio before activating Target isolation
- Once you find the last man, kill him by ANY MEANS NECESSARY. Plasma spam tf out of him if you have to, and do NOT get baited into loops around staircases and other pieces of environment, stay calm and look where he is going, then wait and strike when the time is right.
- In all fairness it is really hard to prevent reinforcements against the Elite Snipers because they usually cook the radio after the 1st death, and it forces you to gamble after you get the second kill, you either go for the last two or camp the radio, but if you camp radio, they’ll just push mission and then come back to get rein together anyway. If you go for them, then they’ll split up and the other guy will get the radio while you kill the one. They are very tactically adept, especially when Hunter3ii3, Jasonth13 or Wolf Mike are on the team.
Just don’t willingly let them get reinforcements. If you can prevent it then do so. If you feel like being nice and allowing reinforcements then only do so when lesser players are on the team and you are landing most of your shots.

I’m sure you have really good moments about (Sniper shots / EMP / Self-Revive/ body block / revive fireteams without Field medic / and fake the Rein Radio) ;)
