Ya the most meta way I’ve seen them used is to be thrown while on the run to heal and being chased. I can almost hear the pred rage when you run sixth sense and it instantly spots the decoy mid-air. “It’s just a decoy” 😂

Another good way is running them on a class with Disciplined like Bionic with use of modified reserve so you can stay silent the majority of the game and the Fireteam always fall for the decoys because there are no ordinary clicking noises to rely on.
It can work very well if you play it right. Trap ambushes are the main thing with this build.
