My ps3 and ps2 controllers still work and could survive nuclear fallout. PS4s the only ones that have failed multiple times within a year.
Switch Joycons are absolutely terrible peices of plastic though literally third party options are more reliable.

Yea I havenāt had any issues with controllers except for PS4 and it was with a brand new one

No clue , I just took it as they sort of corroded, like discolouration in a faulty appliance

They maybe go faulty ? Like a fuse? It doesnāt always fix it but its the first thing I check and change them
Seems there was some metallic residue on the sensor
How old was it? Have you maybe spilled something? They do wear , ive had to replace a few usb adapters on them aswell , batteries are cheap also . Handy to have
