Agreed, as pred you always sacrifice something while FT never had to with specialized builds.

Not that you are fishing for advice, but psychologically, my suggesting would be for you to start playing FT with a good team. You can sub preds and even on bad pred days you get to chill a lay back a little. For pred mains it’s a lonely existence and a stale game. Plus, playing FT will give you some insight into your pred game.

I had a FT. I was in CCD, Candy Corn Drip. Stopped that a long time ago, hate playing FT. Its miserable & bland. I grew up on games like Halo & DooM, this form of FPS combat couldn’t be more dry & stale. And hanging around with people who play nothing but FT ain’t exactly great psychologically either.

I’m ironically still happier on my own then I ever was as part of a FT, even with all the horrendous balancing.

I can agree with that. Though that maybe playing against other tough pred could still be a challenge and show other effective tactics that they use (not that this game is an unknown in that respect😂).

Whatever works for you. Jus a suggestion.

im tired of illfonic giving us game-default reskins and telling us that we have to pay 7 bucks for them

I spent more than enough time playing FT & being around 5 other FT mains to figure out I hate the gameplay of FT and that spending too much time as part of a team makes ya start saying dumbass shit. Fuck, I used to actually say that FT took skill, that if ya tried hard enough as Pred you could win no matter the odds. Being part of a Premade clouds the mind, makes ya blind to the issues. I am glad I left that behind me and started dedicating my time to just being Pred. Only time I play FT now is if I need VT or if some of my IRL friends are on and we wanna do some Quick Play.

i mean…it sorta does but not really anymore

because this is fireteam hunting grounds

as a fireteam main, i no longer enjoy killing predators like i used to

today i finally gained the Ancient trophy (ps4) and then i ejected the disc, put it in the case, and shoved it in the attic

im not touching this fucking game again until something happens thats decently good

its back to A:FTE and star wars battlefront for little old me

once my damn finger heals…

Yeah, there was a lot of romanticism to day prior to part 2.04. and that wasn’t even specializations iirc

I did a 3 hour stream a few months back of me playing FT Solo as Izzy, the commonly agreed upon weakest Class (More like the only balanced one and even then her melee is insane) and I think I only lost 5 or 6 matches.

Go watch evil dead or better yet play it yourself.
I keep mentioning it, but if you wanna see what balance looks like, you can see it there.

If you had a ps4 I’d even let you watch me play if you wanted and if run you through everything balance wise in that game.
How it relates though, is that we have a similar issue with humans in that game as well.

Hunters being the main problem,
But warriors do insane damage. It honestly needs to be be toned down.

However, demon has the ability to set traps, posses survivors and other minions.
So if the direct combat approach doesnt work, then you can switch to that.

Now let’s look at phg. If direct combat isnt working, then what’s your option?
Stealth is non existent so that goes out the window.
Bear traps?
Absolute shit. Preds gear is way too sub par.

Try to use the A.I.?
Its fucking useless in this game, unlike evil dead.

Point being, the damage ft has wouldnt be an issue if pred had an effective way to engage multiple people.

You say a good pred can keep pressure for 10-30 seconds?
Irrelevant. As a semi decent ft can land at least 3 sniper shots in that time.
You can not attack without trading damage as pred.
And that’s the main issue.

Pred should be able to attack without trading damage everytime.

I did watch a bunch is stream. This one dude sucked as survivor and the started using Old Ash (i think) and because one man wrecking crew. I haven’t seen many games of equal skill level though. I saw some wins by demons so it’s not all one sides. I watched @Cptclutch117 stream a few days back, with @P-willie2000 ad it seemed like they were all chilling, but survivors weren’t really trying hard, do i think the balance favors them right now.

I believe it. Not sure about your tactics, but I’ve seen plant of matches where a good FT will use randoms as bait or is good enough to carry outright.

I generally go looking for a fight, use the randoms as bait and circle around to hit from behind. Mostly stuck to the Mercenary, try and get up close. Some matches I took the NRV-E and sniped with it, ended up killing a dude from halfway across Headquarters with it.
