Just had a knife battle with Fire Team member to see how much I can take and got reduced to Second Wind in 5 hits. So not much of a damage reduction to knife attacks either.
Should not be an option to fight Predator with knife at all.
P.S Just to clarify, Im playing as Scout. But still don’t mean Fire Team should outright go and melee ANY predator.
Indeed. Maybe you can parry 1-2 hits as a FT, but without stunning a Pred or dealing melee damage to him.
After few games I do actually feel that the Bow is now much better.
I feel like the Devs want the Fireteam to win 4 out of 5 games…yeah, the patch reduced somethings, but the damage done by FT does not feel like a significant reduction at all.
Played a coupple of games, and one thing is for sure. The FT needs to play much tighter now than before. Now it´s feels more like getting hunted, than, “ohh, great, theres the Pred, lets hunt it”

You’re right. It “feels” more like getting hunted, because the Predator has to attack again and again and deals less damage than a hornet. But it’s only an illusion. In fact you can almost not paying any attention on all of these Plasma shots from great distances, just don’t stay at one place and move unpredictable. That’s all.
It feels like my gun bites less, and that the Pred has a little more time to attack bofore it has to recouperate.
Ran in to a bow user, and with the new faster arrows it harder to zone in where the Preds at.
This combined with the more expensive HP/AM packs, makes them less common. So the over all security is less.
I have won all games I have played as Pred, no joke. Plasam + Wrist blades suffice well. I dont think that it feels like the damage is low, thogh you have to plan the attacks well.
Everything was great except now. Fire Team rushes the objectives. I just got out of a game that ended in like 4 or 5 min. Fastest chopper call ever since I’ve been playing.
I’m curious as to what are the new Combi Stick numbers. It seemed fine before. If you tried jumping in the middle of the FT just blindly swinging, chances are you were dead. Not every Predator should be forced to go ranged. You should be able to play as a melee based Predator if you want.
The Plasma Caster nerf makes no sense. It’s an important part of ranged Predators’ builds.
I finally was able to feed off piggies. Seems they restore a bit more hp now too and the restore is faster. But of course the main positive part is that I can find them now and they don’t dash away 300km/h and just one hit with wrist blades kills them.
Well, with all these changes (including pigs that always spawn around the FT’s objectives) I guess I understand now how do the Devs see their game. Predators supposed to attack a lot, get damage in their pretty faces (and pray the mask won’t be broken), retreat, eat some pigs and go back making pressure over FT. In other words - Preds have to entertain the FT.
What the f… is with this patch? It’s so disappointing!
After playing 10 to 11 matches I’ve noticed a few improvements to the game itself.
What ifffonic doesn’t get is that

we need the tools to fight 4 BADASSES grenade lunched equipped, able to sense our presence from 1 km away, able to simultaneously fire together, as soon as they hear some teamate crying for help,to find a uncloaked and exposed target ready to become a giant avocado!
They are able to see us using only their EARSSS!!
While we PREDATORS are forced to act quickly since there’s no steath, no strategy.
The PREDATORS weapons are still a joke compared to the firepower of the fireteam.
The scout class still cant carry medkits with beartraps.
The smart disc is still useless, the spear has been nerfed, the boars lead the controls to freeze.
The net wrapped FTmembers still RUN LIKE RABBITS back to their kindergarden friends while freeing themselves from the trap, the bear trapped players free themselves in about 5 SECONDS!!! Why did you nerff the bear traps?
The FT member doesnst stop REVIVING HIS TEAMMATE even under HEAVY PLASMA SHOTS WHILE DOING IT!

WHY A PREDATOR IS ALLOWED TO CARRY 2 (or 3) MEDKITS THAT TAKES ALMOST 15 SECONDS TO HEAL WHILE FT MEMBERS CARRY 2 EACH ONE, THAT HEALS IN 3 SECONDS?
Why we cant shoot from far up while in a tree cuz ft members spot us from miles away?
The bow takes so long to get a straight shot and when it does it’s almost impossible to hit a ramdonly moving player.
WHY WE LOOSE OUR CLOAK AS SOON AS WE MELEE ATTACK?

The predator classes need to be able to carry all weapons, and you’ve got to buff them as well a lot!
There’s no way to separate ft members and they know where you are cuz it makes this sounds frequently.
I don’t want the preadator to be OP, I want it to be COMPETITIVE.
How many times am I going to kill 2 or 3 members and have the four together in a f…g CHOPPA in the end?

You did tried illfonic, and we thank you for that. But “I BELIEVE” this game is so far from being balanced.
think about it! Machine guns don’t wait a second to come out, and another second to reach the target. Imagine melee attacks from a uncloaked big tearget against four skilled fps players, able to heal in 4 seconds covered by their friends, able to ressurect, with their crosshairs at you.
THEY SEE (hear) US FROM EVERY POSSIBLE DISTANCE AND ANGLE ILLFONIC!
This not a predator game. This is a JOKE! Now let’s wait for another week and pray that they start caring about the protagonist!
