I did like the fugitive as well just hated the upgrade. The only thing I disliked about the fugitive is that he has human dna. To me if they were gonna say predators are using dna from their prey shouldāve only been for a particular clan that didnāt follow the honor code anymore and not try to say it was the species as a whole.

I thought that book was entirely separate and the made the alpha as the ācanonā version of that and I guess just the prequel book to hunting grounds made me think it was canon.

Itās just āanother version of the characterā, still from the expanded universe
image for example if a new Predator movie itās made, and Alfa is in the movie, they show his story and itās differently from BOTH the version we got (PHG and books)
in such situation that would be the only canon version
(I know itās probably impossible to see Alfa in a movie, it was as said just an example)
