Killing predator with knife!!!!! Get the FUCK OUT!

you moved like 40 feet and acted like it was so far

I agree. Not because I think a Predator wouldn’t be vulnerable to a knife attack, but because it’s one of the worst mechanics in this game. Just feels wrong and further limits the Predators options. People say it’s the “only counter” to a rushing Pred. Not even remotely true. A semi-competent fireteam hitting their shots can melt a rushing Pred with gunfire. There is absolutely no reason the Pred should have his attacks parried.

I just think the Pred needs to heal faster. The fireteam is a team of four and it takes them 3 seconds. Letting the Pred heal up fast also stops them from chasing him down. They should never be so comfortable that they’re running after the monster.

That being said, the Pred does need to retreat to give the fireteam a moment. Maybe healing requires distance? Idk.

Realistically though the predator is a alien so our human medicine is far to underpowered compared to his space age medicine so probably takes him more time…see how weird it gets making thing’s realistic?

At no pint should a knife be the fire teams go to. There’s this absurd strategy of two people running at the predator with a knife.(About 4 games of this now) If you try to fight them they just mash ‘V’ because the game tells you when you can, instead of them having to learn the timing. Turn off the prompt to parry altogether. It is a new level of hand holding to tell them when to parry. Thats how you know there’s something wrong. No, you wouldn’t beat a predator in melee combat. The term: “knife to a gun fight,” exist for a reason. Your advantage is guns, if you can’t play to said advantage you should loose. End of discussion. To any one who’s pretending to be smart and saying “Oh just get good!” If you were good with the knife you wouldn’t need the game to tell you “press ‘v’ to parry”. Imagine if Asuka or Jin Kazama from Tekken got a little prompt or indication telling them to parry at opportune moments. Would you call that skill?
