Although I am incredibly ok with what you said. Perry or an anti melee mechanic is needed in the game. I was one of the many that were thinking about to remove the parry, then I started to play more ft , in order to improve my self and also because the game is not only predator, and I changed my idea. Most of the predator go for melee, every time, also most of the predator write in this forum that they win 95% of their games (and bla bla bla). Melee in this game without a parry Will be over power , elder sword does too much damage, every melee weapons except for war club have absurd tracking. To nerf the perry they need to nerf as well the tracking and the damage of all weapon specially the elder sword. About now, it’s so unskilled to run melee in this game. I know all pred want to win easy but the game is not supposed to allow people to win to make them happy. It’ s a PvP and it should be based on the skill of the player.
They’ve already shown how they feel about the balance situation…and all I can say is yikes…

It actually is the first thing I do now.
I used to try hammer down on the minigun but now when a pred comes in for melee its knives out and parry as its the only line of defence.
My only suggestion to balance this out is each successive parry take a chunk of stamina until the bar depleted and the FT can no longer block.
The knife is definitely bs in its current state. I am not a noob at this game and I’ve never been killed with a knife because I always run or jump around to get better positioning when I see that I’m fighting a losing battle. However, just a couple days ago I took out three fire team members and the last guy was hiding out in a building. I go in to take him on one on one, and thanks to parry and the power of the knife strikes he nearly killed me. I later came back to blast him to hell with the shoulder cannon. But… that is bs, plain and simple. The knife damage is ridiculously high and the parry shouldn’t be able to be used indefinitely. It’s also really dumb when one or two fire team members come after me with knives. Why do they do it? Because they know with parry and the high damage output the odds are in their favor.
