One 80s movie that would make a great game is the thing , not by failfonic though , like among us on a gore trip

They did have a The Thing game for PS2. Kinda jank but was actually pretty good. With todayās current AI technology, a Thing game with a trust mechanic would be terrifying I think.

Yeah I have played that game , I meant more multiplayer based and stealth based . Would be fun . That ps2 game was creepy when the spider heads would maul you š

If they get Kane Hodder to do the Myers mocap like they did for F13, and what VSS Inc did for the upcoming Texas Chainsaw game, Iāll buy it, if only because I know Kane will get some royalty from it. Heās my favorite Jason and a really cool guy, so Iāll support him 100%.

Yeah , he played many creatures of my childhood.
Project metalbeast was a cheesy horror but fun at the time.
I was thinking more for a single-player experience, simply because while a multiplayer version would be fantastic, but it would be extremely limited. It would suffer the fate of PHG and AFT, that being very little level variety, not a lot of classes to play as and thus the game would get old quickly. If we have a well fleshed out single player story, using top notch AI technology, I think even in a confined area like the arctic base it would be a good game.

If itās good there is no way no one try to milk (+they can try to milk the licence before the movie come out to use the hype after all the thing is still one of the greatest movie of his kind)
The only way that movie doesnāt suck , is if carpenter has a lot of input. He is attached, so heres hoping .
The thing remake by carpenter is one of the best movies ever put to screen . Along with David cronenbergs the flyā¦of course.

well iām mostly interested to know if the movie is just a remake , a sequel or a spin off
because right now there is not that much stuff possible .Maybe they can make a sequel and finaly confirm that Child was a thing at the end of them movie
iām still fucking sad that the producer ruined the prequel it had prb but if they didnāt put only those shitty CGI and they didnāt make the last part in the UFO thats MEH it would have been much more better (even if it would still be inferiror to his ancestor .Except split-face most thing were not really disturbing and there not that feeling of near no limit to what it could transform in the prequel)
Most of the thing in the prequel was actually practical effects , but the studio made them cgi over alot of it .
I thought I seen something saying it was a sequel , but maybe it isnāt. I would prefer a sequel . Carpenter and Russell both said that even during filming , they didnāt know who was or wasnāt the thing . The audio commentary is worth a listen .
in my opinion Child is totaly a thing .Because Blair was already in the main building and not anymore in his small house he was the only one able to cut the power off BUT they all belived he was still in the small house isolated so it would be much more ez to sneak up to Child and get him while he was keeping an eyes if he see Blair outside .Then the Childās thing run away because the final fight was coming so even if Blairās thing get killed Childās thing can still comeback and froze in the remain to be sure that someone will find it later

Yeah , it was always speculated he was the thing , Iām positive in the commentary they mention there was a part filmed where mac has the flamethrower ready to torch him
yeah but CGI at first were used to improve pratical effect .But the produced decided to go 100% CGI and it didnāt ended well .+They decided to change all the last act of the movie in the UFO and the original idea was 10 better
- iām kinda interested to know what would have happened if Kate left sometime to Samās thing it wanted to talk ,probably just to buy sometime and try to attack kate but the thing never tried that approach when it get demasked maybe it would have really talked

yeah but everytime it get demasked even when a flamethrower was pointed at It ,it always transformed and attacked .This time it was demasked but it tried to talk thats kinda weird. (but after all loosing an earring is 100 possible)
the original ending was still in the UFO but we would have seen the original crew of the UFO (there few chance the UFO belonged to the thing) weird alien with really good design (they are disturbing but they do not look as hostile as the thing they just clearly look like something from an other planet and the fact they are mostly roundly shaped make them much more friendly in appearance than the usual thing because they are not transformed yet) we would have learned the UFO belonged to this species and they roam the galaxy collecting specimen of on planet but they encountered the thing and crashed on earth we would have seen at the end a pretty orginal thing because it would not be a transformed human but Aliens (crews for sure and maybe some other species they had gathered)
you can on there channel see many other stuff they have made for the thing that were removed
So did the ship crash because the thing killed all the crew ? I dont think he lost his earring? Wasnāt it on the opposite ear than it was earlier?
