Also, to address the original post, I’ve had both Playstation and PC players behave this way. This kind of toxic behaviour is always found among gamers classified as “try-hards” and you will see far more of them on PC than you will on Playstation so that’s probably what’s happening.

The really good gamers don’t usually behave this way, they’ll talk shit sometimes but it’s more lighthearted. The people you’re describing are better than the average players but are still considered to be trash among the good players.

At the highest level of play, you’re far more likely to get a “GG” and hear the team celebrating than you are to hear trash talk directed at the loser.

Remember that other people take the game super seriously and that’s okay too because it can be just as much fun for them to do so. We all play for different reasons, some people game to relax, some play for the thrill of hardcore competition.

That being said, anyone who is being straight-up mean is probably trash that is just good enough to beat average players. Rest easy knowing they will never get better at the game and will get spanked by good players. People like that have an ego that won’t let them see their failures so they can’t learn from their mistakes which is why they will always stay right where they are in the salt mine.

Turning crossplay off is an option if u want to use it.

PC players have a superior advantage over console players especially when it comes to aiming.

Turning off cross play made the game immensely more enjoyable. Also, it’s not really fair - keyboard and mouse are far more accurate than a game controller.

I’m with you @behrg. The last thing I want to hear are 12 Year Olds shouting Racial Obscenities in my Ears when I’m just trying to have fun. You’ll also get insulted even if you win. Seriously!?

Oh that’s right, People love the anonymity behind a Microphone, therefore saying what they normally wouldn’t while out in Public.

This is the very reason why I mute my Mic by default. I only communicate when my Friends and I Squad up.

When you have enough money to spent 10 times the price of a PS 4 on a gamming rig its probably because you have a job to do so. My headset alone is about 70-80% the price of a PS4. PC has a more mature and more dedicated player base them PS4. PS4 you will find lots of kids and casual players.

The amount of toxic predators does not compare to the amount of toxic ft people I’ve fought with.

I literally no longer use my mic and just use a soundboard in game and still get toxic preds.

Even here you can tell mostly main Preds are toxic, always complaining when they don’t win 100% of the time, asking for nerfs and buffs, and giving excuses as to why they lost.

I’ve even had some jump in our discord to insult us.

It’s a game. Is supposed to be fun. Some people just can’t handle losing. I’ve had a few teammates rage quit and get toxic because in their minds they died because we didn’t help them. But it’s only been like 3 and I simply don’t play with them anymore. If you die is no one’s fault but yours.

Lol can you link some sound board samples. Im never a salty pred main even when I die to the high skilled pc players. They start talking smack and I just play Long tall sally and sing it with awful pitch to make them extra salty even if they win. Love you keep up the work

Back on this topic, I have not been facing very many hyper leet premade PC teams lately. Toxicity in game voice chat has gone way down as well.

Does this mean that lot of the leet toxic players have moved on? One can hope.

I got almost 14 days of playtime on EPIC. No idea where you’re playing from (I am on Europe) and the amount of time I found ANYONE toxic is really remote, not even worth bringing up. The things that usually happen (rare just as well) are people tea bagging or pred jumping around and roaring when he wins. The vast majority of peeps that have mics keep it civil. I had some very nice experiences with the community in this game.

I agree, my experience has been the same. Think it’s less toxic interactions during or after a match than I have fingers.
