MacBooks are well… I hate them. They are high quality computers, nonetheless. Their build quality is very good, but I wouldn’t expect any less from a $3,500 computer.
They used to have a technical edge when they were with intel since intel reserved their high end mobile CPU’s just for them (i.e you couldn’t find an 8 core i7 laptop in any other manufacturer that wasn’t Apple). That changed a couple years ago and is the reason why Apple now developed their own shitty M processors which have a lot of compatibility/performance issues.
I wouldn’t use MacOS unless I have to. I do, from time to time, because in my line of work I simply have to, but is not as trouble free as people try to convince others it is. They have plenty of issues and limits.
More often than not, I find people ask for MacBooks because of what they represent (status quo) than for what they have to offer.
And of course, they are over priced as fuck.
I’m running W11 so, I don’t know what the KB update numbers are for 10 anymore
