Honestly most of Predator I found were using netgun. Anyway I do agree that Net gun should be a gear, maybe 5 cost but reduce the ammo to 4/5. The problem of the net gun are:

it’s broken against noobs in pubs specially with trapper perk

it 's useless against people that stick together

it force you to play melee only or an unefficent half range playstyle with which you cant deal enough damage and there are way better combo compared to net gun + bow or pistol
At the same time I think the netgun is the most cheap weapon in the game , as well as make it a gear, it should be nerfed and make it easier to break.
I disagree. I think the netgun is pretty useful in situations when entering interior spaces. And when you’re outnumbered as pred you can use the netgun to reduce the FTs firepower for a moment or two.
As for the ammo i need those shots this thing is hard to aim lol

Yes it’s usefull, but it could be even more if they make it a gear but with some nerfs to compensate.
Nerfing the netgun because?
Unless the bug was fixed back I. 2.03 the trapper perk did NOT affect the netgun in fact the interaction speed perk does let u break out of nets and bear traps faster
U are right on mostly forcing melee playstyle but we have to try and make a melee focused playstyle viable somehow since we seem to only get melee weapons
And yeah the weapon is super cheap in 1v1 as it’s the only form of hard crowd control the predator has atm
Albeit I already think it’s too easily broken since the last time it was adjust it was as made easier to break but it slows down ft when b4 I already had players who could break out of the net in 2 seconds mashing on ps4 which is enough time to get slashed once with the claws and parried on the 2nd swipe
Netgun isnt really that effective and it stopped being super useful a while back.
It’s fun to fuck around with.
You at most stop ppl from shooting for half a second.
Why is it that everything pred does is cheap?
Use traps? Cheap.
Use net? Cheap.
Use bow? Cheap.
Use handheld? Cheap.
Pred can never win.

i wish Arrow that you could write as if you were character agnostic, so that it might sound neither advantagous nor exploitive sounding.
That way you’ll sound like you’re not taking a side which might clarify it to me where you’re coming from.
Example:

With the Trapper perk, inexperienced FT might find it hard to escape as it takes longer…

Netgun is difficult to use against a FT that stay together

If you’re capable of playing either side of the game, then you should write this way…
For me, being awesome at either side is my thing too, and if you’re going to speak to these people and not the ‘the crazies’, then its best to give it to us this way.

The difference between without and with trapper is insane. I tested on private and it’s like 6/7 seconds if you are moving.

Is like a buff and nerf at the same time. The buff is the fact that it becomes a gear and it doesnt waste one of your weapon slot. Nerf the ammo to 5 because it has not to be a third weapon.
The Bow is the hardest weapon in the entire game.

But even tho ft uses guns, the cheapest shit to ever exist, pred is the problem.

Look if there was death juggles that the ft couldn’t break out of, I would agree, or, hitstun combos.
But melee doesn’t interrupt the ft.
In order to use it you have to know when to get in, when to get out and you have to do this perfectly or you die.
That requires skill, unlike just looking at a target and shooting them.

As for your anime comment, at least the majority of the time the combat is way more interesting and better than stuff like you see in predator movies.
But if your afraid of power it wont be appealing to you. And most people are.
