New 2022 Pred movie

Man I was really hoping Disney would make a female Predator win

Predator is literally a colonialist trope about the noble savage that was modelled after a Rastafarian warrior. Like, I do understand that gamers don’t like to look into their favourite franchises from, let’s say, fanonian/saidian or foucauldian sense since they’re mostly interested in pews and pows and it’s sad, honestly.
That’s why I outright dismiss hashtag opinions of gamers about women in cinema and cinema in general. Because they just boil down to ā€œwant men and guns like in 80s, no want to re-evaluate power dinĆ”mica even in the most inoffensive Hollywood sense of itā€.

Agreed. But hopefully this dragon will be an OP one and murder the girl

Imagine comparing presentation of autism like a superpower to females being in movies.
Cool, cool.

Is it realistic that there’s a space Tarzan running around? Is it realistic that he can tear out spine and skull intact from the body?
Imagine being concerned about realism in a Predator movie.

No, I don’t. Because gamers as a term has a new and fancy meaning after, y’know, the whole gamergate thing.
I think that being upset about a girl in a Predator movie and gatekeeping is extremely stupid though.

Hollywood autism powers are just as unbelievable as Hollywood female powers so yes.

My exception would be wrestler women like the one in Mando but she’s cancelled

In the same way as a lot of fictional stories set in the jungle. Like, Predator '87 is a very straight forward movie about jungle adventures for white boys. I don’t know what you’re surprised about here.
Or are you asking me if there is, like, racism in Tolkien’s LOTR?

Yes, imagine females being in movies, right?
Once again, if you were alive in '86 you’d be clmbing the wall about Ripley being all STRONG and INDEPENDENT in Aliens.

No, it’s still a very much movie written from a perspective of whites in the most absurdly imperialist country in the world. Inclusion of black characters doesn’t somehow change that.

He’s literally - LITERALLY - a dude who kills around 50 socialist guerillas in an attempt to disrupt a socialist uprising by the glorious US military and CIA.
And we are not see his reaction to the betrayal of Dylan. We never see how it affects valverdian partisans - they’re cannon fodder. A faceless enemy in a jungle adventure.

no one here hates Aliens or Ripley for the 999999th time.

These are the kinds of people that can’t tell the difference in reception between Scarlett Witch and Captain Marvel.
Or understand why no one likes the purple haired bitch in the new star wars.

I think that we can all agree that as long as the new movie keeps it historically accurate and has the tribe’s warriors have sex with one of the tribe’s non-binary individuals to secure good luck prior to the initial raid/hunting party that they meet the Predator in, we’ll be happy.

If they totally abandon historical accuracy and don’t show that, we’re gonna be upset.

It’s a deconstruction of the genre.

Lmao post your Research paper on Rambo.

Bro I’m already upset

A Pred is gonna be beat by a fifteen year old

Careful its 19 or something

you’ll upset the socialist furry

Deconstructing a genre by still making people in the third world the faceless enemy and slaughtering them down?
Amazing deconstructing.
It only deconstructs the classic action movie by mixing it with a slasher. That’s it.
I don’t care about Rambo.

Finally a movie intended for myself! starring a self-insert minority woman instead of the oppressive white male gun-toting colonist fantasy that is Predator!
Rejoice for we are saved.
