Sometimes the moon is bright enough to light up the nighttime. No new game mechanics needed to change the lighting to night. Although it’s a cool idea.

From where? Everything else pretty much points to the opposite. They wear thermal netting, like hot places, scientists hit them with cold guns because it makes them sluggish. Lizards and snakes do still give off heat signatures im not sure where the “cold-blooded animals are invisible to thermal” thing is coming from or snakes would be invisible to other snakes. They do generate heat, they just rely on environmental heat to warm their bodies and conserve energy rather than spending that energy adjust their own body temp/raising their metabolism. Kinda the whole point of them going “it likes the heat” every movie minus avp & again thermal netting.
