No AVP DLC Please

Aahhhh I getcha now, I though there was some conspiracy level lawsuit going on that nobody knew about, lmao!

If I could give several likes on this I would 😊

Well, when you put it in that way…I must agreed should be super cool seeing it, yet that skull is fairly large :) Predator would look like “Mutant Ninja Turtle” :) jimping from tree to tree.
Still believe implying and not showing would build in atmosphere…something is lurking, in there, in the dark corner :)

Its a backpack for gear and equipment.

I do agree with you. I’d like Illfonic to focus only on the predator. The Xenos should only be easter eggs of some kind or may be included for some special event that happens once in a year. I also would prefer it if they stay away from the comics because they are not consistent with the nature of the predator of the first two movies and feel out of place more than often. No one can tell me that Noguchi being accepted into predator society is a thing or any other human for that matter. Humans are only lesser prey and would never be accepted into the predator society as an equal. Even at the end of Predator 2, it feels out of place in a way. I mean, why would they reveal themselves to a mere human when they try so hard to hide their presence to the point that they self-detonate when they fail hunting the prey. I like that they are carrying on the lore from the first two movies and simply ditch the rest. I hope the novel that they’ve recently released is more grounded and further improves the universe and lore of the predator in a more meaningful way.

there’s nothing unbelievable about that happening, though lol it makes perfect sense if a human defies all odds and ends up earning the respect of a clan. especially how she managed to do it.

and the second movie’s writing just sucked. it’s not really a true representation of the predator’s lore, and more of just hollywood’s take on it. they stick to the general story but take liberties with it because it’s a movie; similar to the first keaton batman movie.

Machiko Noguchi was a cringeworthy character full of stereotypes. I’m sure that makes it even more plausible for this Japanese “salaryman” to become a part of the predator society since she was capable of using l and r sounds despite being such a stereotype. I wouldn’t be surprised if she has some weird samurai background story by the amount of a stereotype she fulfills. Besides her cringeworthy representation of a Japanese female businesswoman, there are other fundamental problems with the comics.

From an artistic point of view, the worst thing they could do is to go down the road of marvel and the likes with the Predator franchise. There is no point in relativizing this extraterrestrial villain. Since there is no point in humanizing this species, a mere human should not be equal. It’s like humanizing the Xenomorph. There should be clear-cut lines for the victim and monster so that the beast can keep its monster-hood. A human in the ranks of the Predator society is just a disservice to the whole franchise and the original predator.

I agree.

While I find it interesting beyond belief, probably because I wish it coulda been me, they built her character wrong in certain aspects, planned out probably I think it was the wrong way to go about her “story”, at least in my opinion. She didn’t make the cut for the human hunt and fairly so she was conflicted.

I’d be interested to see a character like her completely disconnected from humanity. A bit unrelatable and maybe unrealistic but someone they could push as how non-human you have to be to be one the Yaujta, at least at emotional/mental level.

Being a yaujta ain’t hard. Kill shit and roar. All goes wrong, blow everything up. Lol

I think Royce (Adrien Brody) showed promising characteristics that would be along the line of a human adapting to the environment of the hunting grounds. He was mostly without emotions calculating the outcome solely based on his experience and instincts. If there is someone who would be perceived less human because of the loss of empathy for his fellow species, than that would be most definitely Royce from the movie Predators.

Nah Dude that would be Laurence Fishburnes character Ronald Noland that adapted, became emotionless and less human.

Both of them could work, while Lawrence Fishburn kind of went mad, and Royce tried to reconnect with his human side again by helping Isabelle at the end. I like the idea of taking it further in a sequel, where he actually starts to abandon what would make him human.

I also remember that the producer R. Rodriguez mentioned in an interview that he would be interested in a prequel focusing on the story of Lawrence Fishburn’s character. A prequel about him would also be quite exciting, especially with such a good actor as Lawrence Fishburn.

While Aliens in general are pretty fucking awesome @FattBrando it wouldn’t make much sense here, especially on a Mechanical level. In AvP Classic and the 2010 AvP on Consoles, each Character had completely different Gameplay Attributes. Compared to Hunting Grounds, Marines and Predators played more or less the same. Aliens were completely different: they could scale Walls and had an entirely different Gameplay Loop.

If Illfonic were to oddly implement them here, it would mean more work to get it right. And Hunting Grounds already established that we’re in the Predator Universe/Classic '87 Playground.

They should definitely add in Machiko as she’s a perfect fit considering we already have Female Yautja. Trophies for our Predators would be amazing. And lastly, a Map on Ryushi (Machiko’s Outpost Planet) would be pretty dammed cool. I’d personally love to see the Predator Starship as a part of a Predator 2 styled Map.

The possibilities are more or less endless.

I think what would save the game would be an fireteam vs predator vs AI Aliens that stalk both fireteam players and predator players…

So technically the aliens could deal fatal blows to both pred and humans if they get pounced, so it would kinda be a really immersive survival horror game mode…

A AVP should be a event only, like For Honor has from time to time, and simply that, no need to be canon or be a mode to the game.
Make it like Aliens are the NPC, FT has to collect some materials and fight off against Aliens, while the Predator has now the objective to kill the FT but also to kill a certain amount of Aliens. OR both having to over come the waves of Aliens together.

And the event should give some unique equipment like:
FT
-CM armor to the FT, Vasquez bandana
-CM pulse rifle, Ricks shotgun, smart gun
Predator
-Alien helmet, Wolf helmet, Elder helmet
-Alien tail spear, Elder spear, alien tail whip
-Mark of the blooded, markins of feats, melted metal

I agree on it all except why make it an temporarly event? it kinda ruins your fun… I remember this R6S Halloween event when u fight if an mutated zombies… wish they made it a permanent game mode…

Technically the only thing that can save this game rn would be a shit ton of content as possible to keep the hype going lol

Ditto.

Honestly I think bug fixes would would help more than content. Better balance too. I would like a 2v8 or 3v10 mode tho.

Yeah predator universe only. Except the ridiculous, unfunny trash that was “The Predator.”
