Pred2 has a lot of recycled music from pred 1. Rewatched it a few days ago. It’s an action flick with a bit of detective elements (though the detective part is kinda weak). I’d say it tries to copy OG Predator too much. The music, the comic relief (Paxton’s sex jokes). Not sure if it was intended but there’s a bit of a reversal. Now the black guy is hands on while the pencil pusher is a somewhat buff white guy. The Latino girl is on the side of the good guys now. It is better than Predators, which is a good action movie, but most of it is the ‘team’ running from the predators as they pick them off one by one. Kinda one dimensional, so I’d put Pred2 above it.
Its the same composer. I think he has a right to reuse his own score. Also, he re-orchestrated his themes, so they’re not carbon copies. There’s much more tribal percussion, vocals, horns and strings that flesh it out, and it sounds way better than his work on Pred 1.

I didn’t mean it that way, though i think hearing it in the jungle makes it less effective in a city setting. I didn’t catch the adjustment cause once I heard the similar sounds, the to took me to the jungle of pred movie. I like the music, but i think I’d prefer a different score for a very different setting.

I’m not surprised to be honest.
Both would have been nice, considering both was what they did last year. And last year’s update added a lot to the game. It really could have been so much better for the two year anniversary.
