Fukin A, partner. A mobile home ain’t nothing to scoff at. Consider that as a homeowner in modern America, you’re filthy stinking rich compared to 150 yrs ago when a family of 8 lived in a one room cabin! Pay that thing off ASAP, get rid of The rest of your debts Dave Ramsey-style and you’ll be sitting pretty in no time.

Not you scoffing, others (dicks) sometimes do. I own one, paid it off am fixing it up over time. My advice to you is to befriend a few honest contractors and have them give it a once over for safety’s sake, look for leaks, electrical issues, look at the furnace, water heater etc. , then save up and invest in a new, metal roof, the ones with a 50 yr warranty. Then make sure your water supply pipes underneath are well insulated. Then, lastly, save again and put in an electric tankless water heater (down the road a bit, obviously). You’ll never run out of hot water again. It’s not instant, like some people claim, but once it’s hot, it stays hot. Good luck, kiddo.

So Im buying the same as you. I got a steal on it. honestly. Im getting it hauled in.
The big thing is paying off my plot of land.

I grew up in a Park. Im not in a Park, Thankfully. I am out in the boons tho!! Lol

Sweet. I wish I wasn’t in a park, but mine is very nice and well kept. My neighbors are all good neighbors too, so I can’t complain much. I would rather own my land though. Is yours brand new? You mentioned hauling it in.

Gotcha. I was wondering about the roof. I’m redoing mine this spring in metal cuz fuck that mopped-on sealer crap. If you have shingles, you should benfine for a while

I will definitely have a few contractors give it a once over when I get placed. I was just at my Lot. Had to get a few Trees removed but the Tree-Men are family so I got the work for a discount as long as I let them have to wood for free

Congratulations my friend, I hope you enjoy your home on your own land in South Carolina, I always wanted to live in the woods in a log cabin with my wife and kids but we moved to Ojai Ca in a 4 bedroom apartment, it’s ok it a small town, no big corporations and traffic and beautiful scenery but it’s expensive out here, you think it be cheaper being outside of civilization lol 😂
