I feel like you’ve overly nerfed the fireteam by not only limiting their squad-based resources, instead of things like the syringe, but you’ve also given the Predator buffs to take LESS damage overall in multiple areas by nerfing ALL guns AS WELL as giving the Predator defense buffs that it honestly didn’t need. Headshots with a handgun? Out of the question. Headshots with any weapon being more powerful than the bow? Out of the question. Out-playing a Predator by sniping him from afar? Out of the question.
All of this combined makes a Predator player have a GUARANTEED win if there’s only a few fireteam members left alive.
Why? The boar’s health regeneration and spawnrate are now RIDICULOUSLY overpowered - to the point of where it’s not fun to fight the Predator - it’s the most overpowered part of the Predator’s kit.
This feels more like a pendulum swing patch to cater towards ‘Predator streamers’(that are honestly just bad at the game), that think they’re ‘promoting’ the game, rather than it does to fix the actual game’s mechanics which should enforce tactical gameplay.
What I’d change;
- Predator headshot defense buff should be removed. Increase the Predator’s overall health on ALL classes to compensate for it instead - don’t punish players who are GOOD at skill shots.
- Ammo pouch goes back to gear cost of 3 because a gear cost of 5 as well as the maps being nerfed for the fireteam makes this really silly.
- Medkit cost goes to a gear cost of 4 due to the fact it’s a team-based item and the maps are nerfed.
- Syringe cost is nerfed to a gear cost of 5 because it’s a VERY powerful healing item that can make you survive an entire Predator combo.
- The 7EN 50. cal damage is buffed back up to what it was. Increase the recoil on the weapon to force players to take the recoil reduction perk instead of nerfing the damage.
- Buff the auto-shotgun’s damage so that it’s good against NPC’s.
- Nerf grenade amount to 2 per character.
- Give the fireteam more flashbangs and smoke grenades for what they have to pay so that there’s more utility.
- Make handguns actually good. Give them a critical hit chance against the Predator’s mask or something.
- Remove all of the ridiculous stuns the Predator can now do with attacks because it’s ruined the game due to the Predator already having traps.
- Improve the Predator melee animations so that it doesn’t get locked in combat on the 3rd animation of every weapon.
You can’t just nerf everything at once and expect it to be ‘balanced’ just because you’ve now made the Predator’s insanely powerful to the point of where the ‘known streamer’ who plays the game thinks it’s apparently a ‘step in the right direction’ when it really isn’t. It’s just not fun to play as the fireteam anymore and I feel like an NPC due to how useless my overall kit is as everything has been nerfed into the ground. If the fireteam can’t compete against a Predator OR even escape when there’s 1 person alive, then there’s something wrong with the game’s overall design.
The game right before the patch dropped, I was winning solo against a Predator by OUT-PLAYING them with movement, crouching, mudding, the works, after he took out my entire team. I wasn’t cheesing against them with knives and such as it’s very cheap, and I shot his mask off so he couldn’t thermal detect me, and I jousted him by crouching his netgun shot, it got me, and I got out of it, ran past him, and extracted to get the win. Now, my weapons don’t do anything as I ALWAYS try to go for headshots. You’ve made good players who out-play people with stealth tactics non-viable. Now it’s all about support and LMG spam.
