Patch Notes 2.09 (Hotfix)

At this point in the game the AI are the predator’s best ranged weapon…

I feel you. But assuming they buff the predator, they should make the predator less incentivized to set off alarms.

But they could also make the AI quicker you set off the alarms when the fireteam is too loud.

Imo all they would have to do is make so if no FT is present the ai won’t trigger alarms until X time has passed if they get aggro’d by the predator if it’s that much of an issue

Well, in my opinion, AI should be an equal obstacle to FT and Predator, not like: * Hey look, those 4 humans are being killed by that alien, lets help the alien.
Because, they almost only shot at the Predator, when no FT is around…

AI should be a nuisance to either side minus the tankier NPCs they should pose a greater threat

Still should be deadly in numbers though

The focus should be on the inevitable fight between FT and the Predator and making that as interesting as possible

The Predator has already laid claim to FT so they should be encouraged to kill the AI leaving only the desired prey alive for an honorable hunt

It would fit t the narrative of the movie as well when FT enters an enemy camp only to find everyone has been slaughtered

I like that concept…

Buff Pred dmg

Give FT new gear item – plate armor

Fix the bow FFS

More buff?? I dont think it needs… 4/5 melee from the Pred right now, are more than enough to drop a FT member. 4/5 arrows and shoulder cannon shots also…
And I think its more than fair.
Maybe add some more traps to the Predator. Something like tree hanging traps would be a good idea.
The concept of Pred vs human is to hunt not to struggle.

A lot of players think Pred needs a buff because FT has a very high dmg output

This is why I offer the compromise of new gear item plate armor which would protect FT

I just think the Predator could use a health buff it would just make it a little more fun and fair

Maybe increase number of health kits?

Nahhh.
Maybe shorten the second wind reload time…

Pred just needs higher dmg output. Crank it up a notch. Playing against real good FT 9/10 they will escape or just a couple will die.

I really dont think so…
Right now, its what an online game is supposed to be. Noob Predator players will lose easy. Noob FT will do as well…
But if there are Pros on both sides, it will be a hell of a match…
Before this latest patches, even the noobest Predator player, had a slight chance to win… Now? Noobs will be noobs and lose accordingly. Before, all they had to do was engage with melee weapons and jump away 4 times. Or throw arrows and jump around like a kangaroo. Now they have to use approaching skills, traps, and wait for the right time to engage…

Buff wrist launcher reduce number of uses

Or make it cause blinding by the sparks - not flames - it emits

@OldKingHamlet

It burns yes, but it burns white hot

I disagree whole heartedly with this. Honestly right now it takes 1 good fireteam member to hold the Predator. Noobs can literally run mission and AI clearing while one guy can keep decent Predators at bay.
I played a lot yesterday on both sides, more than I have in weeks and admittedly I’m not the best pred but it’s just insane what 1 FT member can do. Every single engagement costs the pred enough health to break off and heal and that’s usually all the time FT needs to complete OBJ.

Newer pred players are gonna give up long before they reach a skill level where they can start making it even interesting for FT members and eventually people are just gonna get tired of losing all the time playing pred

Why did you engage, then? A Pro Predator right now, knows that engaging its a risk. Try to work around first with long range weapons, arrows and shoulder cannons… Get to know the map and put some bear traps early. Then, when the FT is half health, you are clear to make some engagements.

That is an engagement, I wasn’t referring to melee. Once your position is found by tracing your shots and they return fire you spend time repositioning. Valuable time. On top of that good FT players can track the pred just from map knowledge and general direction.

You really need to work out your atrategy as a Predator…
Mark my words: Right now, the Predator must play as its supposed to: By hunting! Not facing the FT.
It’s harder than before? Yes, it is! I totally agree. But for a Pro pred it’s still a bit easier than to a Pro FT. As a Pred, you dont have to rely on anybody but yourself. As a FT, if at least 1 member gets down, it becomes more difficult…
