I spent some time as FT and Pred last night, and I’ll do more later, but the atmosphere of the game does feel different. And I’ve noticed a lot of the changes, especially to FT. Disabling camp alarms takes forever, to the point its better to just shoot them. The SAWZ seems…easier?..to use? I used to never run with it because I’m not that great at sniping on PS, but I ran with it the whole time and I was suddenly much better? Not trying to say Illfonic made their most busted weapon easier for n00bs, but landing my shots at a distance and hipfired was easier to do, despite that recoil, which as other have said is barely noticeable. SMG damage was increased, but tbh the 1011 is still better. I played half my matches with the second SMG and the other half the 1011 and had consistently better results with the latter. The one thing I HATE is the new running mechanic. WHY was that changed? It was perfectly fine just the way it was. I now have to spam and jam down on the stick to run, and stamina depletes faster now. Unless there’s a rhythm to sprinting now that I’m not getting, which again, why does this exist? Ffs, Illfonic. Sprinting was one of the very few things that wasn’t fucking broken. And now look at it.
Also, Fanatic IS fixed, I was unable to activate it. Reckless, on the other hand, is fucking stupid. Played three matches with it, the damage is fucking worse than Fanatic. It needs to go away.
For Predator, movement is definitely changed. I feel the camera is closer to the model now, there is a bit tighter response to general movement, and the new jump weight takes some getting used to but you can feel it. Wolf, especially, is a speedy motherfucker. I didn’t take him into pubs yet but I loved zooming around with him. And I can further confirm that moving in the trees (through the branches, not casually on a branch and not climbing) does take stamina away, but its so very little you almost barely notice it, it recovers so fast. And there is what I assume is a bug when ADS with the caster in the branches, you move unnaturally fast.
I’m sure I’ll find more later, I plan to play this a lot tonight. It does feel good to be back in the jungle, but goddamn it could still be a lot better.
If you are talking on ground, Jelou compared numbers before and after update, no changes, I think its placebo
I don’t know is it the bug, but on the trees they are super fast.
It probably is placebo, in which case. I need to spend more time as Pred later, last night was all FT except for a quick test in solo private.
In Caster ADS or normal branch hopping? I didn’t notice much of a difference in the latter, but the former for sure there was a very unnatural movement speed.
Normal branch. They freeze short time to shoot you and then they run around, like they are on speed hack (even though they aren’t).
That’s interesting. When playing last night I didn’t notice any odd movements when tracking in the trees, I’ll have to look out for them more later. I did come across a weird teleporting Pred, like he was literally in one place doing something like using plasma on us, then he’d teleport to a different location. He wasn’t leaping, like his model would literally move from like the roof to the ground. Crossplay was off so no PC, and I checked our ping and his and ours were fine.
I mean on tree branches, they run wildly fast.
Its praticaly unplayable with Reckless…

NICE WORK!! In my opinion, the game is now at it’s best. Love the HHPC nerf and the rebalance, very good.

Agreed. Movement with FT is awful now. Can’t do 2 things in sequence. Syrette, running, jumping, mudding, parry, etc. Every input needs like a 2 second interval.
Please Illfonic fix this.
