I don’t want to have a runway model, that’s stupid. What I want is to sink my time into a game I like and immerse myself in a concept that is pretty damn cool. Express your opinion in Hell man, Satan might just listen to your complaints.

I guess games like Halo, Elden Ring, etc are all just childish kiddy games because they allow you to create a player avatar.

I gotta agree with xeno. Like…why do you care so much what other people do with their games? The majority of games today, and in the past (again, Halo) feature an excessive amount of customization for players: GTA, story and online, Elden Ring, Red Dead, story and online, any Elder Scrolls game, Monster Hunter, Resident Evil, Breath of the Wild, Pokemon, Tomb Raider, Mario, Call of Duty, countless RPGs…the list is infinite. All of these titles and so many more have character customization, or, “runway model” features, as you call it. So we’ve all been acting childish and pathetic, since really the creation of video games, by changing the style of our characters? Do you know how absolutely asinine that sounds?
And don’t tell me you’ve been playing PHG using nothing but the defaults. You can’t tell me you’ve never selected a skin or armor shader, or a mask, or a hat, or glasses, or hair.

I didn’t even like RDR2 but the amount of customization in that game was insane and makes me wish it was in a more fun experience, because like they let you do everything. Hell there’s a damn option to roll up your sleeves, tuck or untuck your pants into your boots, unbutton or button your shirt. Its insane the amount of freedom they gave the players in that regard. Fucking wish that extended to the rest of the game, and it wasn’t so rail roaded you could get Game Overs in missions for KILLING THE PERSON YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO KILL just because you were good enough to kill them before a setpiece.
Remember when Rockstar made fun sandbox games. I remember.
