please nerf the predator

You’re ignoring that most people in this community just spam Predator in matchmaking despite being terrible at the Predator. The point is the Predator should take skill and even before he didn’t take much. Pick off a straggler and you have plenty of health especially with some of the perks in this game to get out again.

Even now that they buffed it I see loads of people playing completely foolishly as Predator. My friends and I have basically two types we run into: a) the ones that just jump in like fools and die pretty quickly to an entire fireteam hammering them (note, we are never a full 4) and b) the ones that just hide and pick at us a bit here and there throughout the match and maybe say fuck it as we’re at exfil calling in the chopper and rambo in and die but most likely just keep hiding.

The fact is people pushing balance changes this early are being foolish. The major changes to Pred could have been waited on for another couple weeks when more people caught on to how you need to play Pred. I like both FT and Pred and I could maybe see room for some balance but the get out of fuck-ups free stuff like calling in your entire team after the Predator manages to take 2-3 people out was lame and still doesn’t work in a way that makes sense. Now the Predator basically has a get out of jail free card as well with the blind on second-wind. Spreading out is dumb as a fireteam and the only way to keep everyone from being blinded by second-wind is spreading out.

Basically, the complaints that resulted in Illfonic buffing Predator was probably from players employing one of the two, aforementioned playstyles because they couldn’t get a hold on how you need to play Pred.

i agree. The fact that they buffed the pred for people that dont know how to play means that later on when preds start to get good, like now they get a very unfair advantage. i just want it to get changed back to what it was. i can see that the ft could use some also but not as many

Yeah they totally didn’t do the same thing nerfing the combistick over and over for fireteams that didn’t know about or wouldn’t wrap their minds around the parry system.

And before you claim net: teammate net slash with knife.

If you want nerf the Predators, then only the stupid yolo Berserkers who are not afraid to jump 1x4 with a spear, because health and armor allow them. Berserks need nerf.

And so in general, I think it is necessary to make the classes of Predators more unique, and not stupidly rest on a different ratio of characteristics.

didnt they nerf parying also? and the net gun is all fine except the ammo count. which i dont know what it even is i just keep using it as pred and never runs out.

if your having a problem with zerkers like those just try to have you or a friend go support with thick skin and a minigun. if he doesnt get it its atleast at 10 percent health if he hits his shots. and yeah classes need to be unique i agree haha

From what I hear the parrying is still the same due to stamina regeneration. Either way people only claim op 8/10 because they lose and this is a pvp game, ya can’t win em all the sooner people accept that the more the devs can work on more important issues like the matchmaking, bugs, glitches and the more content people will be. Just like when I first discovered the parry system, did I think it was crazy? Sure but I worked around it and adapted.

It’s stupid. Berserk is not Superman. He is still Predator, stealth hunter, etc.
He is don’t must soak over9000 damage

We obviously cant win them all, but since more good predators are starting to become a challenge these pasts buffs start to become unfair.

Over exaggerating and he’s a BERSERKER he’s gonna be stronger than the other two classes that’s normal.

Good fireteams are still a challenge for predator and? This goes both ways XD

And again both sides, gonna be some that are better than others, now ask yourself why were there nerfs to begin with?

Also, and this is my two cents, not everyone wants to employ the same tactic over and over again to have a chance of success as the Pred. Then things get boring. And then no one wants to be Pred. Has that been considered before? Sometimes, you want to netgun whoever goes the furthest out. Sometimes you wanna sit back and caster people. And sometimes you want to do both.

Point is, your argument’s a bit…weird, FT players can still easily melt and defeat a Pred if they coordinate and work together, not split up and chase when the Predator’s wounded. Or blow themselves up like one player did…

you cant leap in 2nd wind, im sure of it

because people asked for them? which was because the game was new and the pred as a unique experience (atleast as far as i can tell i dont see any games like it) and the ft was the classic first person shooter with a slight twist. but as i said the more people play and people get good things start to get funky because of the past balancing tipping towards one side

i thought you can? my bad if im wrong it seems like you could have

Nerfs were done on both sides: because people were losing for this reason or that reason say the op posts swarmed the forum when most didn’t even try to overcome the obstacle. If they had there probably wouldn’t have been as many nerfs as there are and things would be the same as they were and just like now skill and using what you got would determine the victor.

have you not played the predator ???

ofc i have played the pred, just havent been in second wind alot and when i do i dont think about leaping. heat of the moment i guess. and as ft it can possibly be a bug but i have seen preds leaping.

Yep. So, in conclusion, the pred doesn’t need to be nerfed. Tweaked, perhaps, but not outright nerfed. This way, both sides can get fair wins and fair fights. Because from the games I’ve played, FT can still be very dangerous, but they fall and fail when they divide themselves, get cocky, or do stupid stuff like rush with knives. Same goes for the Pred. If one rushes in, they can all focus fire with shotguns and heavy hitting guns, forcing him right back out.
