But yeah the big wigs have them wrapped around their finger and for whatever reason (maybe they’re snorting lines of coke or something) they seem to think silence generates hype! But considering the amount of money involved it likely won’t be
The thing is, I don’t necessarily think it will be in better hands with the original writers. I’m indifferent to whether they can claim it back or not.
What I would say is that the original film’s success was very much a collaborative effort. It wouldn’t have become the classic it has without the creature design/effects, Direction, Cast, Music Score etc etc.
The original screenplay isn’t all that special or original on its own. Predator is the sum of many parts that came together and worked really well.

Yeahhhh… this is why, although I’m certainly no fan of the Disney behemoth, I’m not going to imagine that it would be handled any better by the original writers.

True, but his movies vs. McTiernan’s? Nothing against Hopkins but even Mc’s bad movies were watchable

My preference used to be i would put pred 2 on before I would put the original on . But I grew to appreciate the first alot more as I got older .
I dont really class the sequel as below the original . I think they are both great

Best case scenario is that it is delayed until they renegotiate with the Thomas brothers
Most realistic scenario is Disney files an appeal which would put everything on hold for at least a year effectively killing the game
Either way tomorrow we will know
