I had no clue that the bow can take out the pigs! I’m gonna try that from now on. I always have such a tough time chasing down pigs. I also use the katana a lot and for some reason, it takes several katana strikes to take down a pig, as opposed to one swipe with the wrist gauntlet. Not sure if that’s a bug or not but after the first katana swipe, the pig takes off running and I can’t catch them. The bow seems like the right way to go!
I don’t like using melee to get pigs as they might start running away when you are about to come close but wristblades seems to work better for that than many melee weapons. For katana if you hit him once I think he will die after the bleed damage is over, unless that was nerfed.
Sometimes I spot one pig using thermal vision while I’m on a tree from very far and kill him with the bow as they stand out on the field of view, it doesn’t make other pigs run if they are close, you can kill multiple of them like that and it can bait the fireteam to think you are there too.
