That was basically an end of convo, because the match started.
There was more, but I didnā€™t started recording it right away.
I even played few more matches after that, hoping that Iā€™ll catch those two again in the lobby but I wasnā€™t lucky. :-)

The rangers are good. I feel like you wouldā€™ve benefited if you used a melee weapon in that match.

Yea, I do prefer Melee attacks/weapons overall because I really like running circles around FT.

Iā€™ve basically learned from that match that Bow Hopping, and possibly Hunter isnā€™t really for me in higher tier gameplay.

Lmao that damage output at 1:40 in one second during parry. So fucking broken.

The spotting, the leaping (bouncing off shit), the melee tracking, being able to drop gernades at their feet with no repercussion.

And letā€™s not forget the horse shit that is Dante field medic.

You did awesome though, those are all great players.

Yeah, that field medic was definitely a pain to deal with.

Thanks, it was such a satisfactory win. The thing about these types of teams is that youā€™re forced to rely on the plasma caster. Itā€™s something that I have to get used to because I donā€™t typically use plasma that much.

Yeah itā€™s the only reliable ranged weapon. Bow is dubious and disk is useless against guys like this.

And yeah melee is useless against good players. You get winded during one parry stun, and all FT has to do is move slightly and the tracking becomes useless. Abysmal. And you know pred wonā€™t get any more good ranged weapons or gear, just melee shit.

It depends on the team and how they play imo. Iā€™ve managed to use melee against other premades and succeed. Then there are teams like this that melt me whenever I get too close.

I thought we were supposed to get a smart disc variant for the next dlc but itā€™s probably gonna be trash.

Good vid. Canā€™t even understand how you guys aim so well with the controller, its murder for me in the few games I play on my PS4 (exclusives).

That said the first time you engaged and melted, you jumped on them with no distraction available and all 4 opened fire on you, makes sense for melee not to work like that or if the FT is attacked by AI would stand no chance in trying to fend off also the predator. You could try it in the forest with bushes to provide protection and open with a combistick thow for the blind (even if you miss is still good). You probably tried to see how skill they where, the answer sure was painful lol!

Then you used the katana, its SHIT against competent teams. If you want to melee, use elder sword or scythe, scythe is even better. You need fast attacks and burst. Wait for people to be isolated, trap them or leap in the back, hit and leap away. That or do what Iā€™ve seen Sharpy do and do quick wristblades between quick arrow shots.

Normal melee, yes, does not work against competent teams (like the one in the vid).

At least this is what Iā€™ve seen to work in this game, I am no pro player by any means :)

Aiming with the controller just takes practice. My aim becomes so shit whenever I take a break from the game lol.

Yeah, I got too greedy and impatient in that first encounter. I just wanted to secure one kill right away but I shouldā€™ve planned my attack more carefully. I already knew they were skilled before the match started because I recognized their names.

I actually like the katana a lot. Iā€™ve had a lot of success using it against other premades but then there are premades like this that know how to counter it. The sickle and elder sword just arenā€™t for me.

The main takeaway I got from this match is that I need to be more patient and rely on the plasma caster more than my other weapons.
