Tbf It’s fucking disgusting how splash damage from Izzy’s rifle does more splash damage than any Yautja plasma based weapon…like, when did that become a thing? I’ve killed myself more times with that stupid rifle than I care to admit.
It’s already been nerfed to the ground, since 3.0.

I do not even know what patch we were on when I stopped playing, it was pretty strong though. But now, it’s painful to see Predators trying to use their weapons to flush out campers when all the splash damage does is tickle FT.
It used to be really strong, but crybabies on here got it nerfed.
I am cursed to always hope my friend… I will always root for this game, and always wish for it to succeed and to be great for all players and not just Fireteam. Maybe, maybe one day my prayers will be answered…
In all seriousness, Disney need to cough up some money so illfonic can hire some dedicated Devs, polish up some of the issues and bring more balance to it and this game would really take off.
I have to believe. This game has so many awesome memories for me, I have made so many life-long friends just playing this, I love the Predator franchise and I love this forum, the people here, the chaos and the madness of it all…it feels like, home xxx
EDIT: What state is Friday 13th in these days?? I have it but never really played it but that was really popular and successful. I avoided Ghostbusters so cannot really comment on that, and I lost track of what illfonic were doing when I focused on Death Stranding.
I haven’t been around pre-3.0 patch bc I started on XBOX, but I’ve been told plasma caster and HHPC have been noticeably nerfed. From my experiences, I manage just fine.
And notice at 2:02 that I’m not slam n spamming, since I have to rotate a full 180deg turn, before I can ADS and shoot. This is just a regular motion for me.

plasma caster splash damage used to be usable, and HHPC briefly had an 8 round clip

I don’t really follow Patches, I tend to just play and figure out what they have changed as I play lol Especially since there are lots of changes that don’t get put in the notes. I was away for a long time, and Patch 3.5.1 is all I’ve known since I came back. But they have seriously nerfed Shoulder Caster and Splash damage from what I can see…
If you had 4 FT in a building, you could still kill them easily with splash damage through the walls. And slam was strong too. I don’t really use Slam much, it’s more of a “Hello boys!” troll for me than anything else so cannot comment on how it is changed but it has been nerfed as well from my experiences.
I’m aware of that, but I wasn’t around during the Glory Days, so this has always been the norm to me.

glory days is widely considered to be before the night mode update. back when the bow was good. back when the game was semi balanced…

Everything is still very usable and quite lethal.

Year 1 was the best in my personal opinion. I would say that this game is a rollercoaster, highs and lows from one patch to the next.
If I can come back after a 2+yr break and still get wins as Predator then I’d say that it isn’t in utter dire straights but there is a lot left to be desired. Really good Predator players who haven’t been here since year one are still throwing down and wiping good squads, it’s just a steep learning curve and if they don’t pay attention to either the socials, Forum or patch notes (he says, having never read any of the patch notes since Specialisations were added lol) then I imagine this game must be a total headfuck.

Indeed, you hardly saw anyone touch HHC when the Bow was strong! You would have some amazing variety in how players would use it too so you were always guessing. Bunny-hop Bow boys were a fucking nightmare lol
I forget who the PS player was who really made it popular in the beginning, but that guy was unbeatable!! Me, Drakos, Kame and somebody else went in a Private match with him and we struggled like fuck. We ended up with a win, loss, draw then shook hands and I prayed to never see his PSN again lmao
It’s easier for illfonic to attract new blood into the game, by appeasing four players and inconveniencing one player in every match, than the other way around. The only reason why the game is dying is bc of the lack of quality control, starting with the age old exploits and imbalances.
