In AVPR, the Predalien goes to the maternity ward because it can skip the Face Hugger stage in the Xeno life cycle and go straight to implanting embryo’s in them.
The beauty of the first Alien movie is putting the fear of child birth on men too. Making them fear something they wouldn’t normally have reason to fear.

I really dislike that part of the Predalien. I understand they needed an excuse to have more Xeno’s running around but they could have done better.

If they want it to be able to implant people, that’s fine. Just leave pregnant women out of it.

I get you but…it’s a movie so it shouldn’t really bother you? But i understand seeing that was a bit weird. I remember the movie. I just think in a scifi horror/horror no one should be off limits to dying in the film

It isn’t the dying, kill all the pregnant women you want in a movie for shock factor. It’s the removal of the shared fear. It puts the onus back on women unnecessarily.
It also unnecessarily complicated the Xeno life cycle.

It isn’t hard to fix, it doesn’t even need to be retconned, it can simply be a quirk of that Predalien. In PHG Predalien’s could be shown infecting anyone the can bring to their face. Obviously it will have to happen at an accelerated rate, but it also provides a way for the Predalien player to make more Xeno’s during a match. Assuming they are introduced.

Ahh ok I see what your saying. My bad thought you where just squeamish. But yea the fear of having a fac huger rape your throat just to wake up with an alien popping out your chest always freaked me out
