Yeah that’s what I think with so many of the damn mask designs. Some of them are so absurdly oversized that they only look normal on Berserker or one of the other fat classes, and some of them are so thin & streamlined that they only look like they’d suit a Scout or one of the lighter classes.
For a lot of the lower tier mask placements, those are part of the reason they are so low. Plus some masks literally only suit their default class like Feral for example, his mask looks graphically very nice in-game but it has fuckall customisation options because 99% of it is bone, and it literally only looks natural on Feral. It looks weird on any other Predator. Pretty much the same case for Amazon & Anubis masks. Even though I place them higher because they generally look better, they only really suit their default class & Amazon’s mask has fuckall customisation options too because it is literally an absurdly oversized skull slapped on top of the Vapor mask. Anubis’s mask looks cool because it reminds me of Falconer’s mask, but the more I look at it & the more extremely blatant Egyptian design elements I see, the more it ruins the mask for me. It also doesn’t really suit any other Predators IMO. Maybe Cleo, and maybe Feral, but then it looks weird seeing a massively Egyptian-inspired mask on a Predator that doesn’t also look Egyptian. Unless you’re trying to cosplay Nightstorm Predator ofc.
Some masks have very cool designs but either only suit their default class, or are kinda butchered in the game compared to their movie iterations. Wolf & City Hunter are perfect examples of this, because Wolf’s mask is oversized, too wide, inaccurately shaped etc. And it looks weird if you put it on any class besides Wolf. The City Hunter mask is great but it looks a bit off unless you wear it on CH too IMO. You can find some exceptions to this for both masks but the likes of the Mr Black, Jungle Hunter, Captured, Elder, Scar, Celtic, Arthos & Prophet masks just look peak on any Predator.
