I’ve reached level 100 as mostly a FT member, but with a number of Pred games to back me too. Don’t overlook the Scout Predator. I’ve both had really great games as Scout… and came up against incredible Scout Predator’s.
I’m on PC, so I’m able to utilise my ranged stuff decently. But still, been whooped by PS4 Predators that use every advantage of their kit.

Yea I avoided the Scout because of how so many here where in a blood field rage at how weak they were. I finally tried them out and dig them. I like the speed and hit and run capabilities they have. I was afraid I wouldn’t even be able to melee anyone as I’d be instantly downed, but that wasn’t the case at all. As with the others, pick your spots, time them well and you’ll be fine.

Can someone explain to me why, when I played as the fireteam I have to shot like 300 shot on the pred to kill him. But when I play as the predator, 4-5 bullet and im litteraly down?

You need to play differently as the Predator. Try not to get shot or killed. This is the key. Shhhh…don’t tell anyone. You need to actively try to stay alive and not put yourself in a position were you can be killed. Keep moving, change positions, hit and run tactics, destroy health packs and ammo crates, constantly fire your Plasma Caster at them to whittle their health down and make them use up their health packs and ammo before you go full on assault. You are not invincible as the Predator and you need to play that way.

You sound angry. Calm down. But no, I’m not a fire team main. I absolutely prefer Predator over the FT. I do enjoy playing as the FT though.

But it’s really not as bad you think. Again, let me preface this by saying it’s not perfect and some tweaks could be needed, but skill and tactics play a bigger role in having success as the Predator than most would rather admit.

I have been on this since the Beta and I Pre-ordered (not to mention I LEAD a Predator Clan already) so the Skill is present indeed. The game is still unfair!
With *RE:REsistance, you can pick up and play to have fun as the “Killer”, *Dead by Daylight you can have fun as the Killer off game 1 if you have some skill, even *Last Year on PC was more balanced!
We Predator’s don’t have fun untill we unlock Berserker class and that can be timely.
I personally want people to play THIS GAME more than the others because I love it so much but, it has to be as Accessible to beginners as it is to people who are more skilled so that those people don’t think “It’s not as fun as *insert game name to play as the Enemy so, I’m gonna play that instead!” I want this game to spawn great DLC, as well as a Sequel but, for that to happen the game has to have a good MAINTAINING player base.
A friend saw me playing this and he said “Damn…why is Predator so Weak?”…then he went on to say “I was about to buy this but it doesn’t look fun Playing as the Predator at all.” and went in to purchase RE3 that day for REsistance.
C’mon Illfonic…Please hook us Predator’s up y’all!!!

Honestly, my only problem with the predator is lack of information. I find using the gear and abilities to the fullest incredibly difficult with all the mud, suppressors, and only two vision modes. The cool down for isolation seems too long but I understand wanting to give the fire team time to start it’s missions. The times when I’ve found the fire team the best games are the ones where you’re able to stick around them. The game literally rewards you for proximity to target. A human was in a doorway and I was on the roof above him and xp was ticking every second. It’s just annoying wasting time finding them again after disengaging. I honestly feel more info would make the predator more efficient and powerful. Seeing pheromones and electro magnetic signals like objectives would be huge. If I know where they have to go traps become more feasible. That’s just my thoughts on it.

I am a level 61 Berserker and I smash squads all day. I obviously loose matches but I try to catch the team slipping then I come in with mayhem and destruction. To your point; however, the Predator is way weaker than the fireteam. It makes it almost impossible to really engage the fireteam and make the match interesting because you get ripped to shreds in just a few seconds. I guess illfonic was trying to make it easier for the fireteams to survive but it is REALLY rough being the Predator.

ehhhh. I’m level 65, only play Pred. I dont like Berserker much. I prefer Scout with bow and disc with ranged tactics instead of melee spam. I have a 90%+ winrate. predator is fine he just has a high learning curve.

hit people then immediately cancel your throw. disc will backtrack to you and hit them a second time if you’re fast enough. usually that combo is instant down on most classes.

also use it when people are camping inside buildings to hit multiple fire team members

I can assure you it all depends on the playstyle and of course some luck some times. My story is the following: In the beginning it was very easy as predator. Just go in and kill all. As i progressed with the level and so inside the matchmaking i came to a point where i lost almost every game against the better squads. then i changed tactics, changed some perks. Now i play like the predator in the movie. Attack, see if i can get a kill and a trophy, leave immedately and then come back after some time. I also dont want to kill them all before the reinforcement because thats no fun. so i take my time but constantly try to attack then and now. In the last match for example i got 6 FT kills and 11k EXP, i also killed the last one of them when he was waiting for the helicopter. So as i said you can not say hes to weak or what ever. it all depends on so many factors. Just try a different playstyle and adapt during the game. if you come all the time from the front or jumping with the stick then why not just try to cast some blasters on them the next attack? thats how i really had some great matches and got some very good kills. Just think how you can make it as hard as possible for the fire team and dont get cocky. Thats all i have to say so far.
