wait and see. the overral animation look like a more gritty version of arcane and i’m here for it. So i will always said that we missed an opportunity here to get Genndy Tartakovsky for it. But hey it is what it is.
Damn looks so bad. I mean how hard is to emulate the original look… All of these mofos are thinking that they can do better than Stan Winston. These are abominations.

The big one is also fucking terrible. Reminds me of the fucking shit upgrade predator from “The Predator”. Preds should be sophisticated hunters, not this hulk thing.

The stories may be ok-good but my point is his design picks are fkn trash. Its like they had a meeting and all the designers brought thier concepts and he choose the lamest ones smfh shits garbage. How hard is it to keep the base designs then throw thier own lil subtle differences in for example JH87, city, lost tribe, avp 1 trio, wolf, fugative, and captured all have the same base designs with subtle differences, be it color, scars, amor, mask, etc. But they all have the same base. Shit evewn the supers have basically the same base except slight head/face changes but still respects the iconic predator look. Disney on the other hand (they own it now so they gonna take the blame along with dan) always has to fuck somethin up and change shit and in this case it was for the worst. The bald headed predator looks supid and aside from the mandibles looks like he got a human head -_- maybe alot will disagree and like em but i as a life long fan Hate the design choices they decided to go with.

you’re blissfully missing the point of the franchise. its not about how good the animation style was in Predator 1987…ever. ever was it about how funny or cartoony stan winstons studio had made. Never. so why these abominations? …time probably. Somehow I get this feeling some dollars was spent on prevising which can easily be done by sourcing their favorite movie which made it already in CGI then forking money over to them in exchange and they revise and then place a simple toon shader that was sitting around in someones CGI library.
The texturing job looks quick and dirty, like they fed some of Concrete Jungle assets into an upscaler AI and poof you have yourself an instant asset.

I AM LOVING THESE DESIGNS! Let alone their new weaponry! Though it is kinda sad to see backlash to something that’s been highly demanded.
I also really love the art style they took on, being a mix of Arcane, Blue Eye Samurai, and Into the Spiderverse. Here’s hoping they continue the series with another 3 Predators Anthology Episodes. (I was told it’s either a show or full length movie).

Sadly not really. I wish. I mean if you fuck up the main thing, the predator design, it is hard to be excited. But i like the gore i quess.

Ngl the only thing I found interesting about the entire trailer was how they used a Mr Black sound effect at one point.
I spent the rest of it thinking all the Predators look like crosses between Stone Heart & Feral. I hope the show turns out to be better than the designs are.

They keepin that shitty feral predator head and now they dont even got the 4 mandibles. Why cant they get the main part right. Now im even more worried about badlands if this is the type of designs dan decided were “predator”…although far from it. Since they fucked up the designs now all we have to hold out hope is the stories and excution
