Like if you are dealing with 4 people, the odds that one of them is a goon is pretty high. And if just one of them is a goon and gets whacked. Now you have 3v1 and even if the last 3 are good now it’s a bit harder for them. Play a full stack of good FT players (SUPER RARE) and you will see. Because if you nerf him, then a full stack becomes stronger than the predator. You don’t want that, you want a full stack of solid players to be even with a solid predator

Erm, yeah, no. The games now pretty balanced although still tiped slightly in favour of FT. I wipe FT in the majority of my pred games and kill the predator in the majority of my FT games

Yep bravo pred isnt weak enough until the very bottom of the barrel fresh level 15s can solo him without working together at all.

Like even the best strategy has flaws but pretty much no one has started taking advantage of them because we have so many new players or players who “main” a side. I play both. So I know how I use the smart disc effectively, so as ft I hear it start up immediately track it back to where it came from and either blitz or toss a cooked frag if he’s somewhere I can’t reach. This is just a random example I’m sure we could list a TON but unless you play both sides you won’t know the counters

then shouldnt the game be compensated so that average players can both win and lose on either side? if the “vast majority” isnt very good, well thats a skewed perspective from the top looking down.
im sure it is super rare, and thats the point, if only the best players in the world can win as fireteam, then predator needs a nerf

You balance at the top end. That’s how balancing works in every single game. Because if you don’t, it’s not balanced. Do you want a single good FT member to just carry every game? Cause at the moment it’s already pretty much that way, a nerf would be bonkers

Bad fireteams existing doesnt mean pred’s not fine. Mic up instead of doing the objective like bots and if atleast two of you are shooting at the pred you’ve got a winrate thats super broken OP according to you because the vast majority of preds are still zerkers that run in and swing the combistick around and die as soon as they find the fireteam and get parried. Several of fireteam’s weapons are so overtuned if you aren’t netted you can solo the pred, especially scout with its cute hp.

no but i also shouldnt win every single game, not play specs because i can wipe a team in 30 seconds, and play around with other live human beings in a pvp video game and still win
You can also win every single game queueing with atleast one other person that averages a decent amount of damage on the pred every game instead of killing AI. This is the only asymmetrical where one or two people can straight up carry the game.

can you win as fireteam while purposely nerfing yourself and also playing around with the predator? like follow him around and just sneak by him, hit him once with your knife, run away goofily and come back to do it repeatedly?

im making a point, because i can do that as predator and still win, hell, i help the fireteam and kill ai with them when theyre being overrun

my point is that the fireteam has to play to win and cant really do stuff like that and goof off and still win
Nope still not a point. I can load up Dead By Daylight right now and just farm casuals for points and that game even has matchmaking built around farming bad teams for points to make games last longer. Otherwise yes the killer could wipe them all in a few minutes because thats how a skill difference works.

if ive played up to level 90 as predator only and havent fought a single good fireteam, then what does that mean? (hint: predator needs nerfs - OR im the best in the world, which i highly doubt)
id be down, itd be nice to have a challenge and/or actually die for the first time since learning how to play
hrmm, this is the only thing thats given me pause so far in this thread, everything else screams the predator needs a nerf or 10, but maybe we are just at the top of the game then? i was at the top of counterstrike so that might actually be the case

absolutely not, but im hard pressed to believe im the best in the world, since any other pvp game i have to struggle to win, (for the most part) and this one its a breeze in comparison

that would be fair, but in other pvp games, even ones with no matchmaking, i can still lose. so maybe ive never run into a good fireteam in my however many games it took to reach lv 90… but that only means one of two things, either im better than the vast majority and severely underestimate how good i am, or the predator is too strong. i should NOT be able to play what… 75 games and never lose after the first ~25 or so? and not even try while winning at that. if i just compare my struggle from this game to any other pvp game, the ease of winning is drastically different in this game, its far far easier
its bound to happen, i just wish he wasnt the only person supporting me. i find this pretty shocking, but apparently most people must just suck at this game. all the convo that can be had has pretty much been had anyway, im prolly wrong and, surprisingly, am prolly just actually at the top skill level. this game might just need more players, idk how big the playerbase is but it seems like the playerbase might be really low, which could also lead to the issues we have been discussing, where we win as predator all the time, but many of you who play ft also win all the time as them… if the playerbase was very small, i find i can usually just dominate those games completely
hrmm unanimously i am wrong apparently… guess im stuck in a forever win until i quit because the game is too easy
yeah… so after making this post, i started playing pretty much all day, and decided no more mr nice guy, im going all out, telling the FT at the beginning im going to kill them, and yeah… each match is ending in under 5 minutes, and its easier than i even thought
