Dude all the movies are canon, I know The Predator sucks, but still it’s put there and in the franchise,
you’re thinking too much, it’s not that complicated: every movie it’s canon, Predator, Predator 2, Predators, The Predator, AvP 1 and 2, Prey,

How would predators acknowledge P2 tho? Everyone in predators were either active military or from another country. Isabelle, Royce, and the Russian were active/former military and the Japanese guy and trejo were gangsters. The African wasn’t in america to know and the doctor idk where he was from.
The time line has yet to be changed, this isn’t the Predator Species as a wholes first time hunting on Earth. It’s only Ferals first time hunting on Earth
The alien series has a different canon from Predator they aren’t connected avp just includes aliens but they aren’t apart of he alien movie canon

The whole cross over with pred and alien was a cool idea if done right , but it wasn’t and really both franchises are strong enough on their own (if done right)

That was a mistake because they corrected it and said it was ferlas 1st time on earth.
Pretty sure when it’s predators 1st time on a planet they have a more experienced predator go and not drop of a young blood.
Yeah this one was a FERAL and unfortunately they robbed us of getting a screen version of the comic that tells the story of the flintlock pistol, tbh I think this backstory for it is way more lame than a predator helping a pirate captain fight off his crew of mutineers. Also AVP isn’t canon because it doesn’t make any sense, the Aliens species didn’t become a thing until the late 21st century around 2090. They literally didn’t respect the first Alien movie when they chose to show Aliens on Earth in ancient times, then Prometheus gives us the first time aliens came to be which again is again way in the future. Had Fox just followed the much better AVP comics and games set in the future where it all makes sense those movies would have been canon
Avp is canon to the predator series it’s completely separate from the alien series. We still don’t know how greyback will claim the flintlock yet now that hey changed he story. You can blame The Predator 2018 for making avp canon.
