Dude… since Trump said he is going to invade Iraq, when he actually meant Iran…I will always have doubts XDDDDDD
Private chat=Cheating FT
That was a joke, i was trying be funny and I seem to have failed ):
also as a predator yeah I do, but not much longer than what seems to be the norm.
And with who’s in office rn, the doubts double XDDDD
honesty at this point yeah
Did you start playing online games today?
That is at the same time stupid and ridiculous…
Should i tell you that the in-game chat in this specific game is proximity based? Then so, you have to be close to the FT to hear what they say. And, if you face a decent FT, once you are close, you are toast.
No ive been playing this game off and on because of work, but I do know about the proximity chat.
Maybe if you spent more that a sec to actually read you would of saw that, oh well ive already admitted defeat.
If it makes you feel better OP since F13 devs do say proximity chat is a gameplay mechanic, same for dead team members talking to the living.
mic cuts off once you’re spectating for a reason.
FT even generates sound bubbles, they put thought behind it.
DBD devs say the same sort of thing about lack of voice comms as a gameplay decision.
There’s just no easy way to deal with third party comms and premades complain.
I guess it just comes down to how I want the game to be vs how the game is.
It seems clear to me the devs want the FT to be heard by the pred by I guess im just wrong, oh well.
Its very clearly an intentional mechanic, sound bubbles and all. People hate cross team chat in games now though eventually everyones just going to be muted bots like in Blizzard games.
VR is still fun for multiplayer interaction and you can hear the enemy team using radios (one way), so get in on that before its ruined by parties of anti-fun casuls.
I think it was a monumentally brain dead decision by the devs to allow the predator to hear chat between the fireteam during the hunt, but…
It doesn’t really matter, because fireteam constantly make callouts whenever they spot, heal themselves, mud up, etc.
Fun.
Just like F13.
Otherwise you might as well be playing bots.
not like there’s any real strategizing anyway and FT announces what they’re doing for the pred to hear regardless.
Clearly intentional, but clearly a mistake. It only serves to ruin non premade play. I would love to mentor new players, but I’m not going to have a constant sound bubble on my back so the predator can target me. So stupid.
Exactly, and that’s all there ever should’ve been.
Why if there’s no difference and you have the added bonus of being able to talk to people instead of them angrily texting in post-game like DBD?
Why do multiplayer pvp games need LESS HUMAN INTERACTION?
I’m amazed MOBAs still have allchat with how everyone wants things to basically be bot interactions.
nerf the bubble
There’s plenty of potential human interaction on the fireteam side. If you’re playing as a predator, that’s not exactly the point. Not to mention, there are long lobby wait times at the beginning and end of every match, with plenty of time for real human interaction there.
Additionally, I remember in the first few months of playing the game, there would be predators that blast music over the chat, which would essentially make it impossible to hear your teammates and normal in game sound effects.
You could apply that reasoning to league of legends, smite, RTS’s, DayZ, squad-based tactical games, and anything tagged as survival pvp on the steam store.
It still lessens the multiplayer experience.
geniuses like @moralez saying OP should play more online games clearly only play COD/casual console shooters & have never touched any of the above.
Most actual “toxicity” comes from teammates raging but there’s a push to remove allchat from everything anyways.
Mute as an option not as a feature.
in-game voice chat today is there for the same reason internet explorer/edge is included in windows
In windows, is the browser you use to download other browser
In-game chat is the tool you use to get people in another voice communication platform
Is it hard to counter? There’s no need to. Developers simply need to take into account these tools WILL be used regardless of what they believe.
And on the F13 in-game VC… for the love of god that post was from Gun Media, not illfonic… illfonic even uses discord on their livestreams on twitch for fucks sake.
Play more online games.
Not to mention Teamspeak traditionally was for MMO sweats and discord just recently took off. This thing where lobbies are dead because everyone’s in their secret club vc’s is a relatively new invention.
When I do pubs as fireteam with a group we use discord but most time we are just saying shit and laughing instead of talking strategy with each other. Not necessary planning anything considering the odds of losing with a full team on pubs are low. Don’t even remember last time I sweat in a public game while playing as FT with others.
