There are other viable strategies, maybe they just haven’t worked for you. I win most of my matches and I don’t use the combistick or downrange perk.

The entire point of the post was there’s 2 really strong things, and without them, it’s much harder, and I’d like more viable options. I’m not stroking anything. How does that even make sense in the context of what I said

No no that’s shitty I agree, when I use combi it happens to me sometimes and you’re fucked and can’t get it, then I have to use my hhpc and wrist blades

I’m just saying that if you don’t use combi with down range then it’s indefinitely hard but that’s not true

I should make sure I word things way more carefully cause you guys just come in wilding. Yes, other things can kill. When I say viable, I mean against 4 great players on coms, not using these is much more difficult. I also said, you aren’t fucked. It’s just much harder. But everyone really wants to ride me on this one and I guess pretend those aren’t your strongest items??

And again my point is not that NOTHING ELSE WORKS. I’m just saying I noticed I was winning, then without combi the game got WAYYYY harder. I just think we need other items that are as viable against solid teams.

But I’m trying to say that there are other viable options, some are better then others yes

The reason I don’t mainly use combi is because the startup combo is slow where they can parry but the throw is 1 shot yes, the reason I use elder sword is because the combo is faster, ft can’t parry the second hit in the combo and yeah yeh damage is more little but it still works because it’s fast. Also I rely on the hand held plasma caster for range and that works as well, it’s still GOOD after this patch and I like how it feels too tbh, feels heavier

The instant down combo from combi is unrivaled in my opinion. Now I’ve been wrong before. Like hand held and elder sword are definitely better than I gave them credit for originally. But it just sucks how much of a gap there is between dps numbers

Maybe you should simply think before throwing the combistick? If you aim too high up it might go off the map or get stuck high up in a tree, common sense, it’s a strong weapon, “big gain big loss”.
Same when using the Disc, if you hit an object it gets stuck and the Fireteam can destroy it if you don’t pick it up.

I still don’t think that’s true. I’ve faced some good teams and won with just the bow. There are some youtubers out there that have also beat really tough teams without the combistick. I’m not sure if they use downrange though.
