Ps4 Controller sensitivity and aim speed.

I can’t say for certain here, however I feel like there is an issue with controllers that goes beyond the normal difficulties.

I don’t know if it is something that can even be fixed, but frankly aiming is worse than I’m used to even. It’s insainly slow, as you increase the sensitivity the speed goes up but then it gets insainly jerky. In the end, I feel the ADS speed for both Pred and FT needs to be upped, and to clarify I don’t mean speed walking while aiming, I mean just the looking, finding that sweet spot on sensitivity still leaves one almost utterly unable to keep up with the movement of players.
For Predator aim is everything, and for me and most players I’ve talked to, on ps4 it’s pretty much impossible. I think this is part of the zerker/combi plague as well.

Along with match times, I’ve seen the idea of not only longer matches, but moving the extraction time to set at the end kicked around and it may be worth a try. Maybe as an optional mode for players to test out for a month or so?

I’ve been trying out max sensitivity for the past couple of days and it’s really jerky. I know it’s supposed to be the highest sensitivity on console, but I didn’t think it would be this jerky.

@IllFonic

If you want us to go up against mouse and keyboard, you need to give us better than a sub-standard controller experience.

little factoid. I did hook a KB and M to my ps4. The KB controls work. You can walk, cloak, jump etc. But it doesn’t register the mouse. Maybe illfonic can fix that?

This is unfortunately common to other PS4 games…keyboard works but no mouse support.

Also let consolefriends disable their motion blur so they don’t blind themselves once they’re actually able to smoothly turn and shoot.

A lot of the problem is there’s no aim assist for either side probably due to a lot of games that have it people exploit it by using m&k through an adapter that make it register as a controller and they have aim assist with a mouse which is ridiculously strong they’ll probably have to have a fine tuning sensitivity slider for controller so as to avoid being able to exploit another mechanic in the game

Can’t be a l9t of people really? Have you seen the prices on those adaptors or the specially made mouse and keyboard for ps4s? About $200 for either.

Controls should be tweaked. However, I use around 50-60 for the camera view. Maybe 35-45 for the ADS. It works well for precision. Just use the camera for quick look and then aim to snap and provide more control. Works well for me with FT and Predator.

For my PS4 Hunting Grounds Experience, I use a BattleBeaverCustoms Dualshock that features extra Thumbstick Tension (140 Grams of Force as opposed to the stock 40ish Grams of Force) and rear Buttons that act just like an Elite’s Paddles @SchrecksPanzers. The Rear Buttons are a godsend when it comes to constantly moving and panning the Camera around, all while Jumping: my Thumbs never leave the Sticks. It’s awesome.

The extra Tension allows for higher Sensitivity that’s smoothed out and never feels like it’s too snappy. I have my Standard Look Speed set to 85% and ADS Speed set to 95%. Subtract 12.5% for Vertical on both. Feels perfect for how I like to play.

How much did that run ya?

Around 240ish but totally worth it @SchrecksPanzers.

Check em out here if you’re curious.

Its jerky because of low frame rates.

You lost me at the price. 8 figured it would be expensive. I don’t game enough to make it a worthy investment. Let’s just hope they find a way to fix it up some.

FOV changing for ps4… We see like a horse

I’m on ps5 and it feels very smooth but at the cost of slower movement. Settings for playstation really needs to be updated for q better experience

I have to strongly agree with you on this. I have Doom Eternal and COD games on my PS4, and the sensitivity is perfect for aiming. Its only here in PHG where its so cumbersome and janky, it needs better optimization. There were plenty of shots that I can take but due to how it goes way too far off or way too slow, even though my analog stick is not even pushed all the way forward and back.
